MLS is again participating in Walk My Way in partnership with Australian Lutheran World Service to support children impacted by poverty and war overseas. On Thursday 24th September, our school will be walking the track at Port Victoria to raise funds so that girls seeking refuge in refugee camps in Kenya and Somalia can step into education.

Please support our Walk My Way Day by clicking on the link below and donating to one of our school teams. More information about the walk, including the different walking routes is available on the website. All in our community are welcome to join. It is sure to be a great day!

Today was a great milestone for our school. With a background of beautiful blue sky we officially opened the second stage of our Senior School building. Our School Captains, Jed and Alexa, led our ceremony which was complemented by our senior vocal ensemble.

We were honoured to have present:-
- Senator Karen Grogan who opened the building and represented the Federal Government and their support and commitment to educational investment
- Chantelle Thomas MP our member for Narungga
- Neil Sawley representing Federal MP Tom Venning
- Jane Pike representing the Block Grant Authority
- Jane Mueller representing Lutheran Education SA, NT & WA
- Pastor Peter Bean who led a Blessing over our new building and those who learn and study within it.

Principal David Field thanked the Federal Government for their support, the Block Grant Authority for assessing and backing the school's vision in the project, Hodgkison Architects, in particular Jonathan Mau for his wonderful design, and GC & J Constructions for their exceptional craftsmanship.
Guests enjoyed guided tours of the new spaces:- recording & podcast studio, break out areas, senior art room and senior classrooms. This flowed into lunch served by the Food & Hospitality students. Special thanks to our senior student leaders and to all who supported our celebration of this new facility for our senior students.

What a fantastic morning for our Book Week Parade! The effort that went into the costumes was incredible — and not just from our students, our staff certainly embraced the fun too!

A big thank you to our families for getting behind this much-loved morning, and to everyone who came along to watch, cheer and enjoy the parade as our students proudly showed off their costumes.
