Preschool Information Night! 🌟

We would love to invite you to our Flying Start / 3 year old Preschool Information Night on Monday, 7 September.

A representative from OECD will be joining us to talk about the Flying Start program, what it means for children and families, and how the program can support your child as they prepare for their education.

There will also be an opportunity to ask questions and find out more about what Flying Start could mean for your family.

Educators’ Day is a special time to celebrate the wonderful people who guide, support, and learn alongside children every day. But what makes this day even more special is remembering the little voices that make our learning communities so joyful! Children have big ideas, curious questions, funny stories, and important things to say. On Educators’ Day, we celebrate not just the educators who teach, but the children who inspire us, challenge us, make us laugh, and remind us that we are always learning too! 🌟

🏡 More than Long Day Care - at Minlaton Family Centre, we believe that supporting children and families extends further than our early learning rooms. Our centre has been thoughtfully designed with families and our wider community at its heart, creating welcoming spaces where people can come together, access support, learn, connect and feel part of something local.

Throughout the year, our spaces are home to a wonderful range of community groups, allied health providers, programs and clinical services - making it easier for local families to access support and connection right here in our community.

What a wonderful Book Week we had at Maitland Family Centre Winda & Wawi rooms last week! The children loved dressing up and proudly showing off their costumes to their peers and educators. 💛
Each day brought a new story and exciting experiences:
🐴 Monday: The Wonky Donkey - creating our very own Wonky Donkey masks!
🪶 Tuesday: Old Man Emu - Wawi created feathered emu backs while Winda used handprints to create their own emu-inspired artwork.
🐋 Wednesday: The Little Whale’s Song - Wawi explored the story and songs, while Winda enjoyed an ocean sensory experience with water and sea creatures. 🌊
🎶 Thursday: Jump and Shout - Wawi tackled an obstacle course to our favourite Wiggles songs, while Winda got creative during group times.
🐻 Friday: Going on a Bear Hunt - Wawi explored the outdoors and nature scapes, while Winda went on a bear hunt searching for a special stuffed bear!
A big thank you to our wonderful families for helping make Book Week so special! 📖💛 What a fun-filled week of stories and adventure! 🌈✨

👩🏼‍🎓 🎉 Congratulations to Mel who has graduated with a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care 🎉 👩🏼‍🎓

Mel has been part of the Maitland Family Centre team since we first opened our doors to the community. She came to us with a wealth of knowledge and experience having run her own Family Day Care for many years. Mel brings such a nurturing and caring presence to our Wawi baby room. She has persisted with her study and we are so thrilled to celebrate the completion of her Diploma with her!

📚✨ Book Week Fun! ✨📚

What a wonderful day of imagination, creativity and storytelling at our Book Week Parade!

Our little learners looked fantastic dressed as their favourite book characters, bringing stories to life as they paraded, played and celebrated their love of reading.

From big smiles to lots of fun, it was a beautiful celebration filled with laughter and plenty of magical moments. 💕

A huge thank you to our wonderful families for helping our little ones feel so special!

👩🏼‍🎓 💐 Congratulations to Tennille who has graduated with a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care 💐 👩🏼‍🎓

Tennille has been with Yorke Peninsula Learning & Care from the very start. Tennille has recently stepped into the role of Educational Leader and is so driven by her passion for the early years that she has enrolled to study her Masters of Early Childhood Education. We are thrilled to support Tennille in her journey to becoming a registered Teacher, and you will see her in our Garrdi Preschool room supporting our 3 and 4 year old preschool programs!

We love Tennille’s calm and welcoming vibe, and the way she creates a nurturing space where all children feel safe and secure. She is big fan of child-led play and doesn’t shy away from getting messy and having fun too.
