At St Nicholas’, our teachings and community outreach draw upon the examples of the Patron Saint Nicholas, who lived a life advocating for children and vulnerable people, demonstrating compassion, care and connection to brighten children’s lives🌟🩵

In celebrating the feast of Saint Nicholas – today 6 December – we invite our communities to share in this teaching to contribute to our Giving Tree Initiative that seeks to bring a smile to the faces of children this Christmas🎄🎁

We thank you for your generosity to not only brighten a child’s Christmas but to show them that they are valued, cared for and remembered💖🌿

This Christmas season, we invite our communities to share in the spirit of giving by helping bring smiles to the faces of children in need🌟🤝

In partnership with CatholicCare Hunter-Manning, St Nicholas invites our communities to provide a donation to help brighten a child’s Christmas morning and remind them that they are valued, cared for and remembered🎄💖

Every donation makes a big impact and all funds will go towards providing gifts for children in need🎁

Thoughtfully composed with input from many key contributors, St Nicholas’ Philosophy has been updated to align with the current organisation and its guiding values💗🌏

Today on World Children’s Day, St Nicholas shares our revised six key pillars that represent our shared purpose and identity – to support those in our care to flourish:
🧒Child safety
🤝Family partnerships
🛡️Community engagement
🚀Learning environments
📚Professional development
🌱Sustainable practices

Paired with St Nicholas’ values, vision, mission, and namesake, these elements shape our ethos and guide our actions and teachings🌠

In exploring all the options, students are advised to research their vocational education of choice and explore the diversity in study and career pathways📚✏️

St Nicholas Pathway’s School-Based Traineeship (SBAT) program has seen many students complete their vocational training in parallel with their secondary education, with students leaving feeling ready to embark on a rewarding career in the early education sector🎓🌱

Here is what some of our students have said about their vocational education experience💬💥

This year, the Australian Catholic Bishops invite us to reflect on Signs of Hope on the Edge: Serving Homeless People with Mental Ill Health.

“Let us continue to check in on our neighbours, open our hearts to the marginalised, and give generously where we can. Even what seems like the smallest act may offer great comfort and hope to someone facing hardship.” - Bishop Michael Kennedy
