Lots of laughter filled the room during a fun name recognition game with our Kindergarten children today! 😊

The children lined up behind their teacher, Maddie, and took turns saying, “Hello Maddie!” One by one, Maddie had to guess who was speaking without turning around or seeing them, relying only on the sound of their voice.

This engaging activity encouraged listening skills, voice recognition, turn-taking, and helped strengthen the children's sense of belonging within the group. It was wonderful to see the children eagerly waiting for their turn and celebrating when their friends were correctly identified.

What a fun way to build connections, confidence, and community in our Kindergarten program!

Some of our Inventors children recently enjoyed a wonderful nature-inspired pasting experience using leaves! 🍃🎨

The children carefully used paint brushes to apply glue to their paper before selecting and arranging leaves to create their own unique artworks. This hands-on activity encouraged creativity, fine motor skill development, and an appreciation for the natural world around them.

We loved seeing the children's concentration, imagination, and pride as they brought their leafy creations to life! 💚✨

Did you know that today is Mabo Day?

Today is the last day in Reconciliation Week and it is marked by celebrating Mabo Day, an important day in Indigenous and Australian History.

Mabo Day celebrates the contributions of Eddie Mabo as well as acknowledging the significance of the Mabo decision

Important lessons we can learn from Eddie Mabo and teach children, ourselves and peers
- A single person can make a difference
- Change can take time
- Just because something has always happened that way or viewed a certain way, doesn't mean that's how it should be

Our Inventors room have created a collaborative art piece to represent Reconciliation Week and this years theme which is “All in”
