Welcoming the Sabbath

As the sun sets this evening, we welcome the Sabbath; a time to pause, rest and reflect.

This week, we’re reminded that growth isn't always easy. Discipline can be challenging and uncomfortable, but it can also shape us into people of stronger character, faith and purpose.

As we enter the Sabbath, may we reflect on the challenges that are helping us grow and trust that God is working through the process.

What is God teaching me through the things that challenge me?

"No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way." — Hebrews 12:11

May this Sabbath be a time to rest, reflect and be renewed.

💙 Our Father’s Day Stall is returning!

On Wednesday 2 September, students from Pre-K through to Year 12 will have the opportunity to visit our annual MAC Father’s Day Stall and choose a special gift for Dad, Grandpa or another important person in their life.

🎁 Gifts will be available for $3 and $5.

We’re also looking for volunteers to help run the stall on the day. If you can lend a hand, please contact Cheree on 0416 423 949.

🏀🏆 MAC HISTORY HAS BEEN MADE!

Our U15 Boys have been crowned 2026 South Met Zone Basketball Gala Day Grand Final Winners, becoming the FIRST MAC basketball team to ever reach a Grand Final!

An incredible achievement and a proud moment for our College community.

But the journey isn’t over yet…

📚 What a parade!

Our Primary students brought their favourite stories to life for our annual Book Character Parade, with an incredible collection of characters filling the College.

From Moana and Spider-Man to W***y Wonka, The Wild Robot, The Cat in the Hat and Harry Potter, the creativity was outstanding — and even Mr Lett couldn't resist getting involved!

A huge thank you to our parents and carers for the time, creativity and effort that went into some truly spectacular costumes. Our Stage 1 students were also treated to something extra special—a reading of The Mean & Nasty ToaToa by our very own in-house author, Ms Beranaliva. 📖✨

We finished the celebrations with some well-deserved costume awards, but with that much enthusiasm and imagination on display, everyone was a winner on the day. 👏📖

Thank you to our staff, families and students for making it such a memorable celebration of reading!

📚 HSC Trials are underway!

Today marked the beginning of HSC Trials for our Year 12 students, and we wish them all the very best as they work through the weeks ahead.

May God grant them wisdom, strength and peace, and help them trust in the preparation and hard work that has brought them to this point.

Welcoming the Sabbath

As the sun sets this Friday, we welcome the Sabbath, a time to pause, rest, worship and reconnect with God, family and one another.

This week, we’re reflecting on the words of Jesus in Luke 16:10:

“If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities.”

Faithfulness isn't always found in the big moments. Often, it's found in the small choices we make each day; the way we speak, the way we treat others, the responsibilities we carry and the character we show when no one is watching.

As we enter the Sabbath, may we take time to reflect on the little things that matter and ask God to help us live with integrity, faithfulness and purpose.
