🌅 Welcoming the Sabbath

The sun may be setting a little later, but the invitation of Sabbath remains the same. A time to slow down, reconnect and find rest in God’s presence.

As another week comes to an end, may we put aside the busyness, appreciate the people around us and make space for the things that truly matter.

Sabbath begins at sunset this Friday at 7:03 pm.

We hope our MAC families have enjoyed a restful school holiday break, and we look forward to welcoming our students back for Term 4!

💚 October is Mental Health Month

Mental health and wellbeing matter at every stage of life, and for our young people, feeling connected, supported and heard can make a meaningful difference.
This Mental Health Month, we encourage our MAC families to make space for conversations at home. Check in, listen without judgement and remind our young people that they don’t have to navigate challenges alone.

The Difference We Can Make

Serving others doesn’t always require a grand gesture.

Sometimes it’s giving our time. Listening. Helping without being asked. Encouraging someone. Or simply noticing a person others might overlook.

Jesus showed us that some of the most powerful ways we can impact another person’s life begin with simple acts of love.

The challenge for all of us is to keep looking beyond ourselves and asking:

A Place to Belong

A school is much more than classrooms, lessons and buildings.

It’s the people who notice when you need encouragement. The friends who make you laugh. The teachers who believe in you. The moments when someone makes you feel seen, heard and valued.

Those little connections are what turn a school into a community.

As we enjoy the break, we’re grateful for the people who make MAC a place where we can learn, grow and belong together.

⏰ A quick reminder for our MAC families: clocks go forward this weekend!

Daylight Saving Time begins this Sunday, 4 October, which means clocks move forward one hour.

Most phones and smart devices will take care of it for you. The microwave, oven and that clock on the wall? They’re on their own. 😄

Welcoming the Sabbath 🌅

As another week draws to a close, Sabbath offers us an opportunity to slow down, step away from the busyness and make space for rest, reflection and time with God.

May this Sabbath bring peace to your home, renewal for the week ahead and a reminder of the blessings found in simply slowing down.

Sabbath begins at sunset this Friday at 5:58 pm.

And a little reminder as we enjoy the weekend: Daylight Saving Time begins this Sunday, so don’t forget to move your clocks forward one hour. ⏰
