Our fantastic partner primary school, Harwood Island Public School has a great podcasting program. Mr Witchard had the honour of being their guest recently to talk all things transition with two fantastic hosts- Tobi and Flynn.
They asked some great questions about what students can expect when they start Year 7 at Maclean High School, helping our students gain a better understanding of the transition from primary school to high school. The episode is linked in the comments!

Snow Trip Update
☃️ We’re on our way home!
Some of us have a few bumps and bruises
☃️ Some of us have now found a fun new physical activity with endless opportunities and adventures attached
☃️ Some of us have realised we are more capable and resilient than we knew
☃️ All of us know our numbers for the ‘number off’
☃️ All of us have received compliments from our snow instructors about how amazing we are for hyping each other up & always being encouraging

…..and all of us are stoked on the week & exeoriences we’ve had but excited to see our families and sleep in our own beds this weekend

Snow Trip Update
Day 2 on the slopes with sun shining and experience building. Some of us have done a lot more exploring of the mountain. Some of us have learnt there a certain places where our skiing friends are a little more smug than those of us on snowboards (if you’ve had to unclip and skate you will now what we mean). We’ve had hot chocolates, started an epic interschool game of handball (we most definitely ended up in Ace) and seen a deer in real life. Some of us are a little bruised but all of us have proven we look out for each other, work well in a team and have empathy and kindness for days!
Yes that is us on a giant lift chair.
