Our school is situated in Macksville, which is a North Coast town on the banks of the Nambucca River, 12 kilometres from the mouth of the river. Macksville has a population of 4000 and is the political centre of the Nambucca Shire. Our school was established in 1875 and some of the original buildings (on the current site), still in use, are of historical significance. At Macksville Public School w

🚀🤖 Yesterday, our incredible Tournament of Minds (TOM) team travelled to Port Macquarie to present their STEM challenge and take on a spontaneous challenge in front of a panel of judges! 🌟

Killara, Louis, Emerson, Ainslie, Ariana, Kodie, and Maddi worked together brilliantly, showing creativity, problem-solving, and top-notch sportsmanship. They represented our school with pride and dedication! 👏💡💪

Although the team didn’t progress to the next level, it was a valuable and fun experience for everyone. We’re so proud of their enthusiasm and commitment throughout their Tournament of Minds journey!

Stay tuned—the TOM team will share their STEM performance with the whole school community at an upcoming assembly! 🎭🎉

🌅 Day 2 at Stage 3 Daari Gumburr Camp! 🌿
What an incredible day of learning, culture, creativity and connection!

Our students started the morning with a beautiful sunrise beach walk, before diving into a full day of hands-on workshops and cultural experiences.

Today included:

💃 Dance and song workshops
🎨 Sand art and shell art
👣 Clapstick workshops
🌿 Nature dyeing
🧶 Weaving
🌱 Bush tucker and medicine talk
…and so much more!

It was wonderful to see students embracing every opportunity to learn, create, share and connect with Country and culture. ❤️
