🌸 What a wonderful time we had at Macknade Munchkins playgroup today. 🌺

Today we went on a flower hunt in the garden, searching high and low to discover all the beautiful blooms we could find. We then got creative with flower painting and craft 🎨✂️

To finish, we picked flowers for our cardboard collage—and everyone loved choosing their favourites to add to their masterpiece!

Such a lovely day of hands-on fun, nature learning, and plenty of creativity! 🥰

Term 2 & 3 Cooking
Our students have loved cooking in our kitchen while learning all about healthy eating choices (everyday foods) and unhealthy options (sometimes food).

So far, we have made:
Sausage rolls, cookies, salad wraps with ham or chicken, mini pizzas, marshmallow cookies and fruit kebabs.
Next week: we’re excited to make scrolls and mini pikelets with fruit!

What a delicious way to build healthy habits and learn practical cooking skills. We can’t wait for the next batch! 😋

At parade on Friday Ace, Hadley, Dominic, Noah, Billy, Cameron, Athit, Silas and Wynten all received the Zooper Dooper 100% attendance award. Hadley received the homework award and Wynten received the PBL award for being a learner - focusing on goals and acting on feedback. We also had a special award for Silas for representing Macknade State School at Barns cup.

Well done to all students, we are very proud of your hard work 🤩🥳

At parade on Friday Ace, Dominic, Noah, Cameron, Athit, Silas and Wynten all received the Zooper Dooper 100% attendance award. Hadley received the homework award and Hadley also received the PBL award. We also had a special award for Ace, Dominic, Evan, Noah, Cameron, Athit, Silas and Wynten for representing Macknade SS at the Small Schools Athletics. Well done to all students, we are very proud of your hard work 🤩🥳

What a lovely day at Small Schools Sports! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Our students gave every event their very best, showing great determination, sportsmanship, and encouragement for one another. We are so proud of the effort, positive attitudes, and team spirit they displayed throughout the day. Well done to everyone who participated! 🌟👏

Our students have been having a wonderful time exploring 2D shapes through hands-on learning and creative craft activities! 🎨🔺🟦

By cutting, painting, creating, and discovering shapes all around them, our young learners are building important early maths skills while having lots of fun. We love seeing their creativity and confidence grow every day!

On Friday we had our first playgroup session for term 3. We read a book about a ladybug and made our very own cute ladybugs with painting and craft. Thanks for coming everyone!
