Nature waits for no one! Year 3 had a very exciting surprise at the start of the week - a beautiful butterfly!
Inspired by this year’s theme, Seeds of Science: Nurturing Knowledge for All, they explored how scientific understanding grows through curiosity and inquiry. They planted bean and grass seeds to observe and compare their life cycles, and released their butterfly back into nature, watching it find its strength before landing on a nearby flower.

Maths in Year 3 this week was very hands-on as students explored fractions in many different ways. A highlight was going on a field walk around the school to see how many fractions could be found in real-life examples. Students also applied their Digital Technologies skills by taking photographs and using the ruler and pencil tools in Markup to represent the fractions they discovered.
