Recently we celebrated National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children's Day. The children participated in creating Aboriginal flag paintings on a canvas while engaging in meaningful conversations with Miss Sharlene about the significance of each colour in the Aboriginal flag and its cultural importance. This experience provided opportunities for the children to develop an appreciation and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, fostering a sense of belonging and cultural awareness.

Kindy 1 had so much experimenting with sunscreen painting. The activity took a few hours as we needed the sun to work it's magic and fade the areas of paper that weren't covered my sunscreen.
A wonderful way for the children to explore how sunscreen helps protect their skin from UV damage. 😎🌞
