What a night. ❤️🎶

Yesterdays Winter Concert sessions were both such special events, and I couldn’t be prouder of all of our students.

For some, it was their very first time stepping onto a stage. Others have been performing with us for years. No matter where they were on their musical journey, every single student showed courage, preparation and a willingness to give it a go.

Seeing students support each other backstage, celebrate each other’s performances and walk off stage with huge smiles on their faces is exactly why we do what we do.

A huge thank you to all of the families who spent countless hours driving to lessons, helping with practice at home and cheering from the audience tonight. We couldn’t do it without you.

Congratulations to every performer. You should be incredibly proud of yourselves. We certainly are. ❤️

A big shout out and congrats to Northern Noiz and our longtime Swoonsound student Pat, well done!
FUN FACT: I’ve got a signed Profanity Fair vinyl from Airlie Beach Festival Of Music last year.

Northern Noiz Rocks the Stage!

On Tuesday night, Northern Noiz, our talented Year 12 General Music class delivered an outstanding live performance at Farview alongside touring rock band Profanity Fair.

Students gained real-world experience, performing in a professional live music environment while developing their stagecraft, musical interpretation and collaborative performance skills. They also received mentorship from Profanity Fair, gaining valuable insight into rehearsal techniques, live performance expectations and the realities of working as professional musicians.

A huge congratulations to:
- Perrin – Drums 🥁
- Patrick – Vocals & Lead Guitar 🎤🎸
- Eli – Vocals 🎤
- Mason – Rhythm Guitar 🎸
- Talon – Bass Guitar 🎸

They represented MNBSHS with professionalism, confidence and passion, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We are incredibly proud of the way they embraced this opportunity and showcased their musical talents in front of a live audience.

Well done, Northern Noiz!

🎸 Student Spotlight 🎸

This week we’re celebrating Liv, who has completed her AMEB Acoustic Guitar Grade 3 exam and received a Merit 👏

Here’s a snippet of her performing “The Man Who Sold The World.”

Hard work pays off — great playing Liv!
Liv was primarily a fingerstyle player before this grade but she picked up a pick 😜 and rose to the challenge, well done.

Drop Liv a 👏 in the comments and be sure to catch her at one of her many gigs around the region.

So grateful to have been part of this 🙌✨

A big thanks to Soulful Entertainment, RADF and Mackay Regional Council who teamed up to run our 2-day youth songwriting workshop through the Launch Program — and wow, what an experience. So much creativity, collaboration and talent in one room 🎶

Huge thanks to everyone who made this possible and to the amazing young artists who brought it all to life 💛
