What's one thing you've completely stopped worrying about since starting homeschooling? 💛

We've noticed that many homeschooling families gradually let go of the idea that learning has to look a certain way.

Some of the most meaningful learning moments seem to happen through everyday experiences, creativity, conversation, exploration and following a child's interests.

"How will they socialise?"

It's probably one of the most common questions homeschooling families are asked (and something I saw on social media only yesterday when a homeschooling parent reached out to her community).

But socialisation is about much more than spending time in a classroom with children of the same age.

It's about learning to communicate, collaborate, resolve conflict, build friendships, show empathy, and interact with people from all walks of life.

For many homeschooling families, those opportunities happen through co-ops, sports, community groups, volunteering, music lessons, playdates, family friendships, and everyday life.

Research has generally found that homeschooled children are not disadvantaged socially, and many families intentionally seek out a wide range of social experiences and relationships.

What has socialisation looked like in your homeschool journey?
