Last night, our Senior Volleyball teams showed us that faith is part of the game too.
Before the finals began, our teams came together in prayer, and throughout the games they continued to pause, pray and encourage one another.
The passion, determination and teamwork they displayed was incredible. Our girls were triumphant, while our boys showed true sportsmanship, accepting the result with grace and pride.
Having both teams make it to the finals is a wonderful testament to their commitment and dedication. Most importantly, they represented Carlisle with CARE - Compassion, Achievement, Respect and Effort.
We are incredibly proud of both teams and the way they kept their faith at the centre of their game.

Carlisle was filled with so many wonderful characters today as our Book Week Parade brought stories to life! From bin chickens to fierce warriors, our students embraced the fun with some fantastic costumes!
Our Story Time celebrations continued too, with Mr Spero sharing the wonderful story, Dear Broccoli with our students.
Book Week is always such a fun time at Carlisle thanks to Mrs Abell!

Book Week is off to a great start!
The students have had a great day getting involved in our Book Week activities! They’ve raced around completing the Book Week scavenger hunt and had a go at guessing which instruments our staff play. There’s been plenty of excitement around Carlilse today!
The highlight of today was definitely Recess Story Time under the trees. It was lovely to sit together in the shade, relax and enjoy a good story.
Mr Skinner read Prickles by Phil Cummings & Jennifer Goldsmith, and the students were completely hooked!
It’s been such a great start to celebrating books, stories and reading together. We can’t wait to see what else Book Week brings!

As we come to the close of Sabbath, we are so grateful for the beautiful day we have shared together.
Today, Carlisle Adventist College had the privilege of leading the service at Farleigh Seventh-Day Adventist Church, and what an incredible Sabbath it was!
Our children’s story reminded us that even when we feel broken, God still has a purpose for us. The message was followed by a powerful reminder that faith means trusting God, even when we cannot see our purpose.
We were especially proud of one of our Year 7 students, who shared the Word so confidently and spoke about how God guides us when we put our faith in Him.
Our choir and praise and worship team did a wonderful job, and it was so special to see students of all ages involved throughout the service. It truly highlighted the impact God has had on the lives of so many of our students and staff.
We are incredibly grateful for a wonderful Sabbath spent worshipping, serving and growing together as a school family.

Our Prep students have been busy becoming authors! They created their very own stories, thinking carefully about a beginning, middle and end.
Before putting their stories together, students identified the important parts of a story, including the characters and setting. They then used their imaginations to bring their ideas to life and create their own unique stories.
We love seeing our young learners develop their creativity, confidence and storytelling skills!

Get to Know Your Bible | Starts Next Wednesday
Have you ever wanted to read the Bible but weren’t quite sure where to start? Or perhaps your children come home with Bible questions and you wish you felt more confident answering them?
Get to Know Your Bible is a relaxed and welcoming opportunity for parents to explore the Bible, ask questions and build a stronger understanding of God’s Word.
Together, we’ll discover how the Bible is organised, where to begin reading, how to find Bible verses and how the different books fit together. We’ll also explore how the Bible can help us navigate life’s big questions and provide practical guidance for everyday life and parenting.
You don’t need to be an expert, and you don’t need to have grown up reading the Bible. Whether you’re picking up a Bible for the first time or simply want to understand it better, you are very welcome to come along.
Starting Wednesday 26 August
2:20pm – 3:00pm
Chaplancy Room
Come along, ask questions and grow in your understanding of God’s Word.
“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”
Psalm 119:105

What a fantastic week of exploring, experimenting and discovering at Carlisle!
From static sparks and Van de Graaff balloons to paper boats, marshmallow towers and elephant toothpaste still to come, our students have been getting hands on with science and having a great time!
We’ve seen curious minds in action as students investigated oobleck, optical illusions, lava lamps, rocks, shells, bugs and preserved specimens, proving that science really is everywhere!
Science Week has been a reminder that some of the best learning happens when students can ask questions, get involved, make a mess and discover things for themselves!
Keep asking questions. Keep exploring. Keep discovering!
