Today we celebrated Miss Chamilka who is about to welcome her first child. The children gave her a warm hug as we showered her with gifts and a cake smash to celebrate.

On Thursday the Kindy children excitedly welcomed Mel from Younga Yarns. Each week the children are eager to participate in Mel’s session. Our focus yesterday was creating soap from a soap bush tree.

Today, our Pre-Kindy children had a wonderful time on their Intergenerational visit, visiting our friends at Ozcare!

We shared lots of smiles, laughter and fun while playing Circus Bingo, exploring bubble wrap and making new friends. 🎪🫧
We finished with our special “You Are My Sunshine” singalong and were so excited to receive beautiful letters from our Ozcare friends. 💌 We can’t wait to create our own letters and drawings to bring along next time! 🌞

☕💦 Little Baristas in Action! 💦☕
Our Pre-Kindy children had a blast this week creating their very own “adult” coffees! 🤎 Using shaving cream, coloured water droppers and tea bags, they squeezed, poured, mixed and experimented their way through a fantastic sensory experience. 🎨💧
So much messy fun, imagination and learning — with plenty of coffee orders to fill! ☕😄

Imaginative play—such as pretending to be a doctor, running a shop, caring for dolls, or creating imaginary worlds or in this case a car wash offers many benefits.

Develops creativity: Children invent characters, stories, situations, and solutions, strengthening their ability to think creatively.

Builds language skills: Pretend play encourages children to use new vocabulary, tell stories, explain ideas, and have conversations.
