Emergency Evacuation Drill Practice 🚨

This week, our children and educators took part in an evacuation drill to practise what to do in an emergency.

These drills help our children become familiar with evacuation procedures in a calm, safe and age-appropriate way, while supporting educators to confidently guide and keep everyone safe.

A big well done to all our little learners for following instructions, staying together and doing such a great job!

Learning about a Child's Right!

Our kindy children have also been learning all about children’s rights and the importance of feeling safe, heard, respected and cared for. As part of our learning, we explored the idea of having 5 Safe People — trusted adults who children can talk to if they ever feel worried, uncomfortable, unsafe or simply need help.

The children enjoyed talking about who their safe people might be and learning that it’s always okay to speak up, ask for help and keep telling a trusted adult until someone listens. These important conversations help empower children with the knowledge and confidence to recognise their rights, build safe relationships and know that their voice matters.
