Kidzplay & Learning Centre West

04/09/2026

This week we celebrated the incredible educators who make Kidzplay & Learning Centre West such a special place to be. 🥰

Our theme this year, Cool, Calm & Inspired, perfectly captures the heart of what our educators bring to our centre every single day. They remain cool when the days get busy, calm through the big emotions and little challenges, and inspired to create meaningful experiences, build connections and make a difference in the lives of the children in their care.
Being an educator is so much more than a job. It is the cuddles when a child needs comfort, the patience when something feels tricky, the laughter that fills the room, the creativity that turns an ordinary moment into an exciting learning experience, and the countless little moments that children will carry with them as they grow.
To our AMAZING team — thank you. Thank you for showing up, giving your all, nurturing, encouraging, teaching, listening and loving our children each and every day.
Your passion, dedication and commitment do not go unnoticed. We are incredibly lucky to have such an amazing team of educators who bring their own unique spark to our Kidzplay West Family!!!
Today, and every day, we celebrate YOU!
Happy Educators’ Day to our amazing educators!

We appreciate you more than words can say!!

This year, we were so fortunate to be invited to attend and host a stall at Picnic in the Gardens, alongside the wonderful Mackay Libraries!
With the 2026 Book Week theme, “Symphony of Stories,” we brought one of our favourite farmyard tales to life .. Old MacDonald Had a Farm!

Our stall was buzzing with excitement as children and families joined us for some hands-on fun, including:
Guess the Farm Sound! – Could you tell which animal was making that noise?
Milk Your Own Cow! – Our little farmers had a go at milking their very own cow!

It was such a wonderful morning filled with stories, music, imagination, creativity and plenty of farmyard fun!
We loved seeing so many familiar faces from our Kidzplay family and meeting new families from our wider community.
A huge thank you to Mackay Libraries for inviting us to be part of such a wonderful community event and for helping us celebrate the magic of books and storytelling! .

We had an amazing time bringing dinosaurs to life through sensory play, exploration and creativity at our local library, Gordon White! From digging for fossils 🦴 to exploring prehistoric-themed messy play adventures, the children were fully immersed in the fun.

Here’s a little snippet of our Dino Dig set up before the tiny paleontologists arrived… 👀💚

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and helped make our very first session such a success, we already can’t wait for the next one! 🌿🦖🥚

Book Week has (sadly!) come to a close, but what an incredible adventure it’s been! To celebrate the magic we’ve shared, don’t forget to make one last stop at Gringotts Bank for Wizards on your way out – there’s a chocolate wizard coin with your name on it, waiting to be withdrawn!

We also have a few absolutely adorable Dalmatian puppies looking for their forever homes – but hurry, only 9 little spots left to be claimed!

Thank you all for making this week truly magical – until next year, keep the stories alive!
