Over the school holidays we had a little working bee to prepare our veggie gardens for Spring. A massive 'Thank You' goes to Peats Soil & Garden Supplies for supplying us with some amazing compost to help us bring life back into our schools' veggie gardens. Also, a shout out to our incredible Macclesfield Country Fire Service for supplying a team of helpers to move the compost. We can't wait for our new produce to grow, so we can use it in our school kitchen this year!

This term in HASS the Year 2/3 class at Macclesfield Primary School have been exploring why people participate within communities. We invited Hannah and Jill from the Food Pantry in Macclesfield to talk to our class about how they got the pantry started and how it helps the people in our community. As a class we have decided to collect some food from anyone at school and in the community, who would like to donate pantry items as a way for us to contribute to our community. Our class will then go to the Food pantry at the Institute on Monday the 11th of December and give all the food we have collected to them. If you can donate a can or bag or two of pantry items please drop them off to the School office by Friday the 8th of December. Thank you for helping the people in our community.
