Thank you to the 19 attendees who joined us today for our "Live Well: Simple Lifestyle Techniques for Seniors" session.

Led by our experienced instructor Sourin, the workshop kicked off with gentle meditation and breathing practices. Starting with these calming techniques before eating is the perfect way to quiet the mind and set a positive tone for the day!

Halfway through the event, everyone took a well-deserved break to connect over some lovely refreshments. The group then dove right into the rest of the session, where Sourin shared easy, step-by-step insights on using food as medicine and other simple lifestyle tips to enhance overall health and wellbeing.

The session wrapped up with some wonderful feedback from the group, and several participants even stuck around afterward to chat and dive deeper into the topics discussed.

A massive thank you to Knox City Council for making this workshop possible. This event was proudly supported by the Knox Seniors Festival Grant 2026.

We had a wonderful time this afternoon at our Creative Tile Decorating Workshop! Fifteen attendees joined us to craft their own personalized tiles using paints, markers, and handmade paper magiclay 3D embellishments.

Our facilitator Neloo was completely wowed by the brilliant ideas. Swipe through to spot beautifully painted nature scenes, textured 3D flowers, a charming little penguin, and creative mixed media pieces featuring fun items like a miniature brass horn and tiny yellow ducks.

It was a relaxed afternoon filled with creativity, laughter, and fantastic feedback from everyone involved. A massive thank you to Knox City Council for making this event possible, proudly supported by the Knox Seniors Festival Grant 2026.

We finally snapped a photo of our free weekly walking group enjoying the beautiful sunshine on the final Friday of last term! ☀️👟

It has been so lovely seeing a dedicated core group of regular attendees gathering lately, and we would absolutely love to welcome anyone interested in joining us for a local morning stroll.

The group meets in Room 9 from 9:20am and departs from the centre together around 9:30am. Because these walks are entirely self-led, everyone gets to have a chat and decide together which local paths they would like to explore on the day.

If you are looking for a fantastic way to enjoy some fresh air, light exercise, and great conversation with your local community, we would love to see you there!
