Meet local author Beckie Plant!!!

Come along to local author Beckie Plant’s launch for her latest children’s book - Land of Anger - at Orange City Library on “Talk Like Pirate Day” - Saturday 19 September at 2pm. All welcome! Pirate dress up welcome too!

Use Beckie's new children's book to open conversations about emotions, self-regulation and simple strategies children can do when anger arrives!

Beckie’s studies in Developmental Trauma, Art Therapy, Counselling and Youth Work, support her understanding of how young people think and feel and she uses this knowledge to write stories that make complex emotions easier to navigate.

As part of Literacy and Numeracy Week (29th Aug- 4th Sept), we had a wonderful visit from Grandpa Maurie and Snowy.
They called us into the classroom with a big COOOOEEEEE!

Our very own teacher Silvia Wheeler introduced us to some poetry by reciting William Wordsworth's Daffodils Poem and My Country by Dorothea Mackellar.
Grandpa Maurie showed us a book of Poetry that he had written and recited Mountain Man, Wild Mitta song written by Snowy and many more.
Snowy and Grandpa Maurie they played the guitar and Lagerphone and sang us some Australian songs like Give Me a Home among the Gum Trees!

📣We are so excited and grateful to have been accepted into the School Breakfast 4 Health Program run by FoodBankNSW. 👏

🍞🍌🍎Starting next week our students are welcome to join us at BREAKFAST CLUB for free breakfasts on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
Breakfast will Begin at 8:30am and finish at 8:50am.
🌟Gluten free options are available.

Thankyou to Holman Place School for hosting the Multi School Science Day. 7 stations of immersive scientific experimentations for . There were some really interesting things to experience! We loved it!
