DANCING IS SO MUCH MORE THAN LEARNING STEPS ….. it’s a Journey Of Friendships 🫶❤️‍🔥

Yes, dancing gets us moving. It improves coordination, balance, confidence and fitness — but some of the greatest benefits have nothing to do with the steps at all.

It’s the friendships formed along the way. ❤️

It’s walking into a room and being greeted by familiar faces.

It’s having a laugh when a move doesn’t quite go to plan, or when you can’t remember which is your left foot.

It’s encouraging each other, celebrating the little wins and watching people grow in confidence week after week.

For many people, dance becomes an important part of their social life — a place to switch off from everyday stresses, enjoy great music, meet new people and simply feel connected.

Some people arrive knowing nobody and, before long, find themselves surrounded by a wonderful group of friends.

That’s the real beauty of social dancing.

Lesson after lesson, we’ve noticed the tireless effort you’ve both been putting in.

Over many months, you’ve consistently shown up, practised and challenged yourselves !

As Wollondilly residents, Ric and I, together with our team and students at South West Modern Jive, are deeply saddened by the heartbreaking news of Lily Hooper.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Lily’s family and friends during this incredibly difficult time.

🕯️ May this candle shine brightly in remembrance of a beautiful young life, taken far too soon.

Tonight represented our FREE monthly lesson for members of Workers Hubertus Country Club, Luddenham - our headquarters ❤️‍🔥🫶

Everyone looked absolutely stunning ! The detail in the outfits was flawless, and we’re truly appreciative of the effort involved !!!
