Thank you to everyone who attended our first ever Sponsors Showcase at Lucindale Area School. Attended by families, sponsors, animal donors, staff, students and community. The rain eased in time for us to enjoy a meal, chat and watch our animals on show. What a fantastic way to thank everyone who contributes to our Ag Program.

In 2026, we are going big, and with keen students and an amazing community behind us we know we have what it takes to succeed. We are excited and can’t wait to hit the Royal Adelaide Show ground next week for Led Steers and Stud White Suffolks. Then the following week for Goats and Merino Whethers.

We are also competing in the schools wine competition, wine labels, eggs, poultry, sow and grow (wheat).

This week Lucindale Area School hosted our annual Young Judges Day. Over 115 student’s attended from 5 schools to learn about judging meat sheep, merino structure and fleece, meat carcass, cattle structure and to practice public speaking. A fantastic opportunity for students to learn from industry professionals and gain confidence for upcoming judging competitions.

A huge thank you to LAS staff and students and our presenters - Nat Hann, Emily Davidson, Jono Spence, Shaun Watson, Steph Brooker-Jones and Francis Andrews👏

📚 WEEK 6 AT LAS 📚

We have a big week ahead at Lucindale Area School, with Book Week celebrations running all week!

👵👴 Monday – Grandparents Day
We’re looking forward to welcoming our grandparents and special visitors! The morning will begin with an assembly at 9:15am, followed by a morning tea, before grandparents are invited to visit classrooms and see what our students have been up to.

🐑 Tuesday – Lucindale Young Judges Day & Ag Sponsors Showcase
We’re excited to welcome more than 100 students from across the South East to LAS for Young Judges Day – a hands-on agricultural education event giving students the opportunity to develop and demonstrate their judging skills.

The day will be followed by our Ag Sponsors Showcase from 3:00–6:00pm. Everyone is invited to come along, support our students and see them proudly showcase the animals they have been preparing for the upcoming show season.

🍂 Wednesday
Our Year 4/5 students will participate in Walking the Seasons in Naracoorte, while our Year 10 and 11 students begin their individual SACE Subject Selection and Course Counselling.

🎓 Thursday
Individual SACE Subject Selection and Course Counselling continues for our Year 10 and 11 students.

📖 Friday – Book Week Dress Up Day
Students and staff are encouraged to come dressed as your favourite book character and join in the fun! Our Book Week parade will begin at 10:20am.
