We hope our Siena families had a wonderful Father’s Day today, celebrating the special men who play such an important role in the lives of our children.

Thank you to all the dads, grandfathers, stepdads, uncles and special people who encourage, support, nurture and love our children each day. We hope you enjoyed a day filled with family, laughter and special memories.

We also send love and strength to those for whom Father’s Day can be a difficult day. We hope you were able to take some time to remember and celebrate the special moments and happy memories that remain close to your hearts.

A big thank you to our wonderful Siena staff for making Friday’s Father’s Day celebration such a special afternoon. It was fantastic to see our community come together to celebrate the important men in the lives of our students.

Welcome to Week 9 - We have another exciting week ahead, with Year 5 and 6 swimming and our Italian cooking sessions where our students are given the opportunity to apply their language learning through cooking - lots of learning and opportunities to connect and grow together.

Welcome to Week 8.

We have another exciting week ahead, with our Year 3 and 4 students enjoying their swimming program at Shayne Reese Swim School from Monday to Thursday this week.

This Friday afternoon, we look forward to welcoming our dads and special men in the lives of our students to Siena as we celebrate and acknowledge the important role they play in supporting, encouraging and nurturing our children. Please keep an eye out for further information regarding the format and arrangements for the afternoon. A reminder that there will be no hot chocolates for students this Friday.

This week, we also celebrate our wonderful Enrichment Educators (LSOs) We are incredibly grateful for the care, encouragement and support they provide to our students every day. Our EE's work alongside teachers to help students access their learning, build confidence, develop independence and feel a strong sense of belonging at Siena.

Welcome to Week 7

We are looking forward to another exciting week of learning and adventure. This week Year 1 & 2 head to Shayne Reese swim school for their intensive week of swimming lessons. We look forward to seeing their confidence and skills continue to grow as we did with our Foundation students last week.

Our Year 5 students are excited to head offsite for a special secondary school experience day on Wednesday, providing them with the opportunity to explore, discover and experience what their next chapter might look like.

Year 3 and 4 students will also be heading offsite this week for an exciting day of learning at Werribee Zoo, connecting their classroom learning with real world experiences.

Welcome to Week 6
Tonight, we had the privilege of celebrating the Sacrament of Confirmation with our Year 3 students. It was a beautiful and significant occasion as our students took this important step in their faith journey, surrounded by their families, friends, staff and parish community. A special thank you to everyone who helped make this evening such a meaningful celebration for our Siena community.

Our Foundation students are excited to begin their Intensive Swimming Program this week at Shayne Reese Swim School. This is a wonderful opportunity for our littlest Siena students to develop important water safety skills, build confidence and have fun while learning. Year 1 & 2 lessons will commence in week 7.

We wish our Foundation students a fantastic week in the pool.

A special thank you to our families who were able to join us for Mass with Fr Jim on Friday as we celebrated the Feast of Saint Mary MacKillop. It was a beautiful opportunity for our school community to come together in faith and reflect on Mary MacKillop’s life of service, courage and commitment to education. Her words, “Never see a need without doing something about it,” continue to inspire us to look beyond ourselves and care for those around us.

We would also like to extend a big thank you to the families who joined us for our Literacy Learning Walk. It was wonderful to open our classrooms and share how we teach writing at Siena. Having families see our students and teachers in action provides such a valuable insight into learning across our school, and it is always a pleasure to welcome you into our learning spaces.

This week, it's time to celebrate Book Week. We can't wait to see our students and staff dressed as their favourite book characters as we celebrate the joy, imagination and wonder that books bring to our lives. Join us for our Book Parade on Wednesday.

Our Year 5 and 6 students are also getting ready to head off to Kangaroobie Camp on Thursday. Camp provides a wonderful opportunity for students to step outside their usual routines, challenge themselves, build independence and resilience, strengthen friendships and develop teamwork.

Welcome to Week 4 - it's a busy week ahead!
Our Parent Support Group (PSG) meetings continue this week, providing another valuable opportunity for students, families and teachers to come together to celebrate learning, reflect on progress and set goals for the semester ahead.

This week we are also thrilled to host our School Disco! We know our students are looking forward to an afternoon of music, dancing and fun with their friends. Thank you to everyone who has helped organise this wonderful community event.

We wish our students representing Siena at the Catholic Athletics Carnival all the very best. We are incredibly proud of your commitment, determination and sportsmanship. Whether competing on the track or in the field, we know you will represent Siena with pride and encouragement for one another.

Families are warmly invited to join us for our Literacy Learning Walk, where you will have the opportunity to see writing instruction in action across our classrooms. This is a wonderful chance to gain an insight into the evidence-informed approaches we use to teach writing at Siena and to see our students actively engaged in developing their skills as confident and capable writers.

On Friday, we will gather as a school community in the MPR to celebrate Mass with Fr Ed for the Feast of Saint Mary MacKillop. Australia's first saint, Mary MacKillop, devoted her life to ensuring that all children had access to education and lived by the words, "Never see a need without doing something about it." Her example of faith, compassion, courage and service continues to inspire our community as we strive to care for one another and live out the Gospel each day. Please join us.
