Our Stage 1 Child Studies class has had a rewarding term. Students began by exploring the importance of play, creating activities linked to children’s books and visiting the Reception classes at Loxton Lutheran School to trial them. It was a fantastic hands-on learning experience. Thank you to the Lutheran School for having us.
The Year 11s are also currently taking part in the simulated baby program, caring for a baby over three days and developing their understanding of the needs of a newborn and the responsibilities of parenting.
A highlight of the semester was welcoming Mr and Mrs Lange and their baby daughter, who shared their experiences of pregnancy, labour, and becoming new parents. Mr Rogers also spoke about his role as a dad and grandpa, making it a very special and memorable lesson.
