⭐ SSO Week ⭐

As we come to the end of SSO Week, we celebrate and recognise the incredible faces behind the scenes who do so much of the heavy lifting in our school. Our School Services Officers are the backbone of our daily operations - dedicated, hard-working, and always supporting staff and students in countless ways.

Thank you for your ongoing commitment, flexibility, and care. Your efforts make a real difference to our school community and do not go unnoticed. We appreciate everything you do!

This weekend students from Loxton High School will be taking the stage for two performances of cabaret! 🎶

The program will run Friday and Sunday with a whopping 17 acts from 36 students.

Performing arts teacher Owen Selby told Breakfast presenter Stephanie Nitschke that the kids lead the show. 🎤

"They get to rehearse their own music and perform what they want to perform," he said.

"That leads to a real variety [and] means the students get to showcase what they really want to do."

Year 12 music captain and drummer Callum is leading the stage band this year, and said he loves the opportunity to perform.

"Just being able to do something I really enjoy in front of people and showing off my skills and talents makes me feel pretty good when I go to bed," he said.

"We're smashing it - we sound really good." ❤️

What an absolute honour - Her Excellency Frances Adamson and Mr Bunten visited Loxton High School yesterday!

Her Excellency and Mr Bunten spent time with some of our SRC and Prefects discussing leadership and how to foster a diverse student leadership body. During her visit, Her Excellency commented on our strong Prefect history, including a special mention to one of our 1987 Head Prefects who now works closely with her.

We wish Her Excellency the very best for the remaining 7 weeks of her term!

SANFL is excited to announce the upcoming Riverland All-Girls Auskick & Superkick program, giving girls across the region the opportunity to get involved in Australian Football in a fun, welcoming and inclusive environment.

The program is open to girls of all experience levels – whether they are completely new to football or already love playing.

Riverland All-Girls Auskick & Superkick
📍 Barmera-Monash Football Club
📅 Sundays: August 30, September 6, September 13 & September 20
💰 Cost: $55

Auskick: Girls born 2019–2021
Superkick: Girls born 2014–2018

The sessions will focus on having fun, developing fundamental football skills and building confidence, while giving girls the opportunity to meet and play with other girls from across the Riverland.
