𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝟮 𝗦𝗥𝗖.

Let's start off our week with a shout out to our Semester 2 SRC Reps!

This crew has stepped up to be the voice of our students — sharing ideas, listening to their peers and helping make LPS an even better place to learn, play and belong.

We’re pretty lucky to have such a great bunch representing our students, and we can’t wait to see what they bring to the table this semester!

Give our Semester 2 reps a big LPS shout out!

So… what REALLY goes on when the students aren’t at school?

Today at our staff-led assembly, we decided it was finally time to let the students in on a little secret… what the staff of LPS REALLY get up to when no one else is around.

From questionable staffroom behaviour to some very important “work” happening around the school, it turns out we’re pretty good at keeping ourselves entertained when the kids aren’t here!

And before anyone asks… no student learning was interrupted during the making of these videos. Staff productivity, however, may have taken a brief and completely necessary hit.

What happens at LPS when the students aren’t here… usually stays at LPS. Until someone puts it on the big screen at assembly.

𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗳𝗳 𝗟𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆 & 𝗦𝗥𝗖 𝗟𝗼𝘅𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘅 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁.

Never a dull moment at LPS!! At today's staff-led assembly there was some well-deserved student recognition, a little friendly rivalry with Students v Teachers games, and a VERY important insight into what our staff apparently get up to when the students aren’t around… stay tuned for that one!

We also loved hearing from Mrs Parkyn’s class, who shared their fantastic poems and artwork with us. There’s some serious creativity happening in that classroom!

And while we’re talking about students doing great things, our SRC reps visited the Loxton Hospital Complex, putting our LPS values of 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 and 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 into action. They organised games, spent time reading and, most importantly, brought a little bit of that LPS spirit along with them to connect with the residents and brighten their day.

Plenty of laughs and plenty to celebrate at LPS. Just one of the many reasons why Loxton Primary Rocks!

𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗥𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 – 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗶𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘁.

Last night, our talented LPS choir students performed their hearts out at the Chaffey Theatre and truly did our school proud! Their dedication, energy and passion for music was evident on stage, and they represented Loxton Primary in the best possible way.

At today’s assembly, Maisie and Hargunn spoke to us all about their incredible experience, sharing how much they loved being part of such a special event.

A huge thank you to Mr Kruger for your dedication and support to our choir students and congratulations to our singing superstars for all of your hard work and enthusiasm!

𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝘀...𝗣𝗔𝗣𝗘𝗥 𝗠𝗔𝗠𝗔?!

The one and only Peter Combe is coming to LPS!

On Tuesday 1 September at 9:45am, we’ll be welcoming an absolute Aussie children’s music legend to our school! There’ll be plenty of singing, laughing and maybe even a few staff members reliving their childhood.

While we'd love to make this a community event, unfortunately our school hall will be at capacity with our LPS crew and our friends from Loxton North Primary joining us.

For all our grown-up fans, we encourage you to share the Peter Combe magic with your children and enjoy the fun together at home!

The classics are being rehearsed… we can’t wait!

𝗕𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗡𝗼 𝗪𝗮𝘆 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 - 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀!

Today we celebrated Bullying No Way Week with a little extra colour, kindness and fun!

And as if the face paint wasn’t enough excitement… it was Casual Day too! So between the colourful faces, favourite outfits and plenty of big smiles, LPS was looking extra bright today!

A huge thank you to our face-painting group of volunteers who generously gave up their lunch play time to paint our students’ faces and spread a little joy to remind us that kindness can be simple and colourful!

𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗬 𝗦𝗦𝗢 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞!

You know how much we 𝗟𝗢𝗩𝗘 a good shoutout here at LPS… so this week, there’s no better bunch to send one to!

Whether they’re at the front desk keeping the admin wheels turning, supporting our students and teachers in the classroom, or working hard to keep our school looking great, our SSOs are absolutely everywhere, doing a bit of everything.

So give a shoutout to one special SSO who has made a difference to you or your child or go all in and send some love to the whole incredible crew!

Help us fill the comments with some well-deserved love and appreciation for our SSO legends.

Happy SSO Week!!
