We are dynamic training partners of Australian First Aid, providing nationally certified First Aid training. Our approach to First Aid is that: 'it’s better to have a go, as something is better than nothing'. AJ First Aid is a Riverland, South Australian based organisation that delivers training to the general public and corporate community. We utilise qualified Health Professionals to provide First Aid training either at your venue or ours. The trainers have real life experience in providing health care and deliver the training with a 'have a go' attitude in a non-threatening environment. 🚨 THANK A FIRST RESPONDER DAY 🚨

Our First Responders are some of the most dedicated workers and volunteers we have in this region.

When disaster strikes, they're the fellow locals who are called out to help us in our time of need.

is a chance to show our appreciation and support so they can keep up the good work.

📷 At the Berri ambulance station this morning to thank Clinical Team Leaders Kieran and Jason for their service to the Riverland.

Heatstroke happens when the body temperature rises above 40.5 degrees Celsius. Immediate first aid is needed to lower the body temperature as quickly as possible.

To treat heatstroke:
• If you notice symptoms in yourself or others, call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
• If the person is unconscious, do not give them aspirin or paracetamol
• move them to a cool area and keep them still
• give them small sips of fluid.

If you can, bring their temperature down by:
• sponging them with cool water
• putting them in a cool shower
• spraying them with cool water from a garden hose
• soaking their clothes with cool water
• placing cool packs around them.
