Here are some common new student FAQs:
- How much are lessons?
Our prices are based on VMTA recommended rates and lesson length, so we will quote the best option for you once we know your age, instrument, prior learning experience, and personal goals.
- Can I try a lesson first?
Yes! Your first lesson will be booked as an "initial lesson" after which you will be given 24 hours to decide if you would like to continue.
- Is the first lesson free?
The first lesson will be charged at our usual rates.
- Do I need my own instrument?
Yes! You will need your own instrument to practice on at home, and to bring to the lesson (not including pianos). If you do not have an instrument then we can often provide one for your initial lesson, and will discuss options with you before continuing, as we sell discount instruments or can provide some recommendations within your desired budget.
- Do I need to know how to read music?
We will teach you to read music in your lessons, so you do not need to know prior. If you would prefer not to learn to read, then just let us know.
- Do you support students with neurodiversity/additional needs?
Absolutely! With private tuition, our amazing teachers can cater lessons to each individual student, so please give us as much information as you can about what you need to learn best.
- How do I start?
Please get in touch with us via email or through our webpage to let us know you are keen to start and we will respond as soon as we can!
HAPPY EASTER BREAK!
