💛 R U OK? Day 2026 💛

Today, we recognise R U OK? Day and the importance of checking in with the people around us.

Our Drama students helped bring the message to life with a fun dance, reminding us that connection can be found in many different ways — through conversation, shared experiences, creativity and simply being there for one another. 💃💛

This year’s message is “Ask R U OK? Any Day” — a reminder that we don’t need to wait for one particular day to check in. If someone is on your mind, trust your instincts, ask how they’re really going, listen without judgement and let them know you’re there.

A simple conversation can make a meaningful difference. 💛

Thank you to our Drama students for helping our College community pause, connect and share this important message.

💛💐 EA Appreciation Week 💐💛

This EA Appreciation Week, we would like to take a moment to recognise and celebrate the incredible Educational Assistants at IHC who make such a meaningful difference every day.

They provide our students with invaluable support, guidance, encouragement and care in countless ways. The impact our EAs have on the education and wellbeing of our students cannot be overstated. Whether they are helping a child understand a new concept, offering reassurance during a difficult moment, encouraging confidence, celebrating achievements or simply being a familiar and caring presence, their contribution makes a truly meaningful difference.

We could not do what we do without them. Their dedication, patience, kindness and commitment make an enormous difference to our College community and, most importantly, to the lives of our students.

To all of our amazing Educational Assistants, thank you for everything you do — both the things that are seen and the many things that happen quietly behind the scenes. We are incredibly grateful for you and so lucky to have you as part of our College community.

Happy EA Appreciation Week! ✨

📚✨ Book Week Parade ✨📚

What a wonderful celebration of reading, imagination and storytelling at our IHC's Book Week Parade!

This year’s theme, Symphony of Stories, came to life as students and staff dressed as an incredible array of colourful and creative book characters. From much-loved classics to modern favourites, our parade was filled with imagination, excitement and plenty of memorable characters!

It was fantastic to see our community come together to celebrate the joy of reading and the wonderful stories that inspire, entertain and take us on adventures.

A big thank you to all of our families for the time and effort that went into this year's parade!

What a memorable way to celebrate Book Week!
