A wonderful way to end the week at Lowanna!

Mrs Black had a fantastic day with our Lowanna Red learners and our preschool transition children today. ❤️

There was lots of playing, exploring, learning and discovering what BIG school is all about! It was wonderful to see our littlest learners becoming more confident, making new friends and feeling right at home at Lowanna.@

After such a busy and fun-filled day, we’re pretty sure there will be some tired little people sleeping very well tonight! 😴😂

We loved having you with us and can’t wait to see you again! 💛💙❤️

🌱🥕 Today was planting day in the Lowanna garden! 🥕🌱

A huge thank you to Brenda for working alongside our Lowanna learners and teaching them how to carefully plant their seeds.

Before heading into the garden, students became garden planners! They designed their own garden beds in class, choosing which vegetables they wanted to grow and deciding where each one should be planted. 🥬🥕🌽

Today, those plans came to life as students planted their seeds and put all that learning into practice. Now comes the exciting part… watering, caring, watching and waiting! 🌱

We can’t wait to see what pops up over the coming weeks and, eventually, what our little Lowanna chefs can create with their home-grown produce! 👩‍🍳🧑‍🍳💚

We kicked off the celebrations this morning with bacon and egg rolls and some quality time with our Lowanna dads. 🥓🍳

A huge thank you to everyone who came along! And to the dads who couldn’t make it… rest assured, your bacon and egg roll was not wasted. 😂 The mums and kids bravely stepped in and took care of it for you! 🤣

We hope all our Lowanna dads and pops get thoroughly spoilt this Sunday and have a fantastic Father’s Day! 💙

Today our Lowanna learners rolled up their sleeves and got busy in the garden! We sanded the edges of our garden beds, gave the timber a fresh coat of oil and filled some of the beds with beautiful new soil ready for planting. 🌿

Everyone was happy to lend a hand and work together to give our garden some much-needed TLC. There was plenty of teamwork, persistence and practical learning happening along the way.

Our garden is coming along beautifully and we can’t wait to plant some seeds with Brenda tomorrow morning 🥕🌱🍅

This week we’re celebrating the incredible School Administrative and Support Staff (SASS) who help make Lowanna such a special place to learn, work and belong.

From supporting our learners, caring for our kids, keeping our school organised and running smoothly, to maintaining our beautiful grounds and lending a hand wherever it’s needed, our SASS team truly does it all! 🌱📚🔨❤️

In fact, we think Jas, Bec, Brenda, Mrs Latter and Mick are so amazing, they deserve to be priceless collectables! 😂

This week, our Lowanna learners are practising recognising when a game or activity isn’t working for them. Instead of staying in an argument or letting a small problem get bigger, students are learning to:

- leave the activity calmly
- think of another safe choice
- join a different game or activity
- keep enjoying their playtime

Koko's message is: We can solve small problems! 💚

We finished off another busy week with lots of smiles and learning.

📚 Brenda read our students the final Book Week book, wrapping up a fantastic week of stories and reading.

🎒 Lowanna Red loved welcoming our preschool transition friends back for another transition day. It was wonderful to see them becoming more confident and familiar with their BIG school, teachers and new friends.

🚜 Meanwhile, Lowanna Blue had some unexpected excitement with the delivery of gravel! They enjoyed watching Mick at work, levelling it out and getting another job done around our school.

Another lovely Friday of reading, friendships, curiosity and community at Lowanna. 💚💛
