More science fun at MPS

We have been learning about the Yuludarla Man , the Gumbaynggirr Aboriginal ancestral figure - he travelled across country during the dreaming and helped shape important places. His story teaches people about their connection and responsibilities to country culture and community. This teaches the children respect for diversity and Aboriginal perspectives and cultural responsiveness xx

We had an amazing science week of experiments, sewing, cooking, gardening, construction and so much more..... the children develop a growth mindset and learning dispositions such as curiosity, cooperation, confidence, creativity, commitment, enthusiasm, persistence, imagination and reflexivity; they develop a range of learning and thinking skills and processes such as problem solving, inquiry, experimentation, hypothesising, researching and investigating; they transfer and adapt what they have learned from one context to another; and they resource their own learning through connecting with people, place, technologies and natural and processed materials :)

Hi all, we had a great book week to Lowanna Public School. Thanks for inviting us :) the children really develop a sense of connectedness to groups and communities and an understanding of their reciprocal rights and responsibilities as active and informed citizens during these collaborations. And the dress up was fun toooo :)

Term 3 week 1. What a great week back. There was so much fun and engagement in all of the learning activities, and we saw so many great relationships and friendships as children returned back from the break away. The children definitely have a strong sense of identity and feel safe and secure and supported at Mountain Preschool, and their great relationships helps them develop knowledgeable confident self identities and a positive sense of worth.
The children are connected with and contribute to their world when they respond to diversity with respect and explore Aboriginal and Torres straight Islander perspectives, as they engage inGumbaynggirr language programs with Dylan. …Anyway, have a great Friday and weekend everybody and we’ll see you all for week two.🤩
