Our theme “Finals” certainly delivered a night full of fun, inspiration and some wonderful speeches! 🎤👏

🏆 Jason took home our Fun Award — well deserved! 🎉
❤️ Leanne gave a beautiful speech "In her footsteps" about her grandmother 🥰
🏙Terry had an interesting speech about the history of the BrisbaneRiver!
💪 Sherry provided some fun and challenging table topics!
🌟We had a visit from our new Area 27 Director Marty and Catherine from Toastmasters Club BChange.

Our theme “Showtime” certainly delivered a night full of laughs, inspiration and some wonderful speeches! 🎤👏

🏆 Sherry took home our Fun Award — well deserved! 🎉
❤️ Harry gave us a beautiful and heartfelt speech celebrating 50 years with his wife. What an incredible milestone and a wonderful story of love and life together. 🥰
😂 Jason entertained us with a humorous speech about house inspections — and let's just say… there were plenty of surprises! 😮🏠
💪 Sherry also challenged us to think about “The Courage to Be Uncomfortable” — a great reminder that growth often happens when we step outside our comfort zone.

What an enjoyable evening at Daisy Hill Toastmasters!

We were treated to two incredible Icebreaker speeches from Lois and Sayed. They shared inspiring personal stories about starting a new life, overcoming calamities, and discovering the blessings that can come from life's biggest challenges. What a fantastic way to begin their Toastmasters journeys!

Ian delivered his President's address, sharing his vision and enthusiasm for the year ahead, while Mikhail's Table Topics had everyone thinking on their feet as we answered questions about dream travel destinations and how we've handled those unforgettable travel mishaps.

Another night filled with laughter, learning, encouragement, and great company. We can't wait to do it all again next meeting!

⚽🏆 World Cup fever hit Daisy Hill Toastmasters... and things got a little competitive! 🤣

What a fantastic night of speaking, learning, laughing, and enjoying great company!

A huge congratulations to our newest members, Farhana and Sherry, who both delivered outstanding Ice Breaker speeches. It takes courage to stand up for the first time, and they absolutely smashed it! 👏

Our Table Topics, led by Zee, had everyone thinking on their feet, while Syed kept perfect time as our Timer.

Half-time refreshments didn't disappoint either! A big thank you to Leanne for treating us to her delicious Biscoff fudge and chocolate brownies. Safe to say there weren't many leftovers! ☕🍫

Our World Cup theme sparked some hilarious ideas. Who knew there should be World Cups for shopping, beer pong, or even finding the TV remote? 😂

What a massive night at Daisy Hill Toastmasters!

Tonight was jam‑packed with milestone moments and plenty of laughs. We proudly inducted two new members, Lois and Syed, welcomed in our 2026/2027 executive team, Leanne was awarded Toastmaster of the year and we celebrated a huge honour — Terry was awarded Life Membership for an incredible 30 years of dedication to our club. What a legend.

We also enjoyed a fantastic icebreaker from Zee, and were joined by two guests — John from Downunder Toastmasters and first‑time visitor Chanel, who bravely jumped into table topics.

And of course… Jason stole the show with his hilarious theme “The End of the World Is Nigh”, complete with a tin‑foil hat and a T‑shirt listing possible world‑ending events. Classic Jason.

Another brilliant night of speaking, learning and laughing together at Daisy Hill.
