Lockhart SS students and staff proudly assisted in the annual clean up of Chilli Beach with Tangaroa Blue. Students assisted in marine debris removal, vital data collection and just had lots of fun! Thank you Lockhart River Aboriginal Shire Council for the use of the bus. 🚌🗑🌴🤸🏾‍♂️🤸🏽‍♀️

St James’ Day is a significant annual community celebration in Lockhart River, Cape York, Queensland. It is traditionally commemorated on July 24 or 25, marking both the historical foundation of the original mission (which began on St. James the Apostle day in 1924)

And this is how it was done! Partnerships that worked closely to build our new classrooms and give opportunity to our students and community members. Proudly built in Brisbane and transported by trucks to Lockhart River...what an amazing job by all involved! Thanking Fleetwood Construction, Deadly Pathways to Construction, LR Lockhart River Aboriginal Shire Council and our school. Enjoy!

💥Congratulations to our Semester 1 award winners! 💥 Highest achiever in Literacy (voucher), Numeracy (lego) and Top Attenders 🚲 for each class were awarded. Nundah were the champions for our Cross Country and medals presented for our Age Champions. Thank you to our local Police Station 🚓 for sponsoring our Fair Play and Turn it Around Awards 🚲. Students who assisted with illustrations of the new Doc Croc book were given a copy and can proudly share this with family and friends. A great celebration ending with a Shake a Leg! 🏆🥇👏
