Love *really does* Grow

There was something truly delightful about this afternoon. In the winter sunshine, children and adults gathered side by side, sharing food, conversation, laughter and special moments together.

As we whittled, toasted marshmallows and listened to an inspiring message about God's plans for us beyond what we can see, the joy was unmistakable. Smiles were everywhere.

In a world that can feel rushed and disconnected, these moments are a beautiful reminder of the gift of community.

It wasn't just the sunshine that made the afternoon warm. It was the kindness, the conversations, the laughter and the sense of belonging that filled the space.

Love really does grow when people gather. ♥️🌿

👣💙🇳🇵 Today we officially launched our Walk My Way 2026 service project!

At Lobethal Lutheran School, we're passionate about developing more than great learners. We're growing young people of character and compassion who see the needs of others and are willing to do something about it.

Over the past few weeks, our students have been learning about the people, culture and communities of Nepal. Today, Celia from ALWS helped bring those stories to life, reminding us that even the smallest acts of service can create lasting change.

As a Lutheran school, we believe faith is lived out through action. We want our students to know they have the power to make a difference, whether that's through a kind word, a helping hand, or taking steps to support families across the world.

Through Walk My Way, our students won't just be raising funds. They'll be learning what it means to love their neighbour, serve others and use their gifts to bring hope.

Our Year 3/4 students enjoyed a fantastic excursion to Laratinga Wetlands, taking their learning about water beyond the classroom and into the real world.

With so much recent rainfall, it was the perfect time to see firsthand how water supports ecosystems, wildlife and our local environment. Students asked great questions, made valuable observations and gained a deeper appreciation for this beautiful local resource.

Learning comes alive when we step outside the classroom! 💙💧

Start your Friday with great coffee and even better conversation 😄☕️

Join us this Friday morning (14th August) The Friday Blend - fresh barista coffee at school for $5, a chance to connect with other parents, and you're warmly invited to stay for our 9:00am Friday Worship Service. (Yes! You're welcome to bring your coffee into the service - just pop a lid on it!)

Coffee served from 8:30>9:00am.

Please note: For safety reasons, students are not permitted to take hot drinks into their classrooms. So, drop the kids off, follow The Friday Blend signs, and treat yourself to a cup of morning greatness!
