What an incredible night at our Youth Gathering last night!
A huge congratulations to our Mission Team, Mrs Wilsmore-Smith and Olly, for organising such a fun and successful event. It was wonderful to see so many young people come together for an evening of fun, friendship, food, and to watch the movie GOAT.
A heartfelt thank you also goes to Miss Muir, Miss Sheather, Mrs Dixon, Mrs Sheather and Father Reynold who attended and helped throughout the evening. Your support made the night possible and was a fantastic demonstration of youth engagement within our school and parish community.
Thank you to everyone who joined us. We look forward to seeing you at our next Youth Gathering.

PARENT ENGAGEMENT EVENING!
No committees, no voting, no commitments!

Come along to our Term Two Parent Engagement Evening. An evening designed to keep our parents/guardians informed of what has been happening in our school and to let you know about some exciting initiatives ahead.

Ask questions and provide feedback. Discussions at these events help form strategic directions for the school moving forward.

Excitingly, we will have an exclusive tour of our new $1.5 million Performing Arts Precinct due to become operational at the beginning of Semester Two.

If you have any questions regarding the evening, please do not hesitate to contact our office on 6354 5100.

EGG-CELLENT SCIENCE

Our Year 7 Science students put their knowledge of forces to the test in a fun parachute challenge.
Using everyday materials including garbage bags, string, masking tape and newspaper, students designed and built parachutes to safely transport an egg from the top of a three-metre wall to the ground below.
The big question: Would their egg survive the landing?
After some careful engineering and creative problem-solving, students eagerly unwrapped their precious cargo to discover the results. We're pleased to report that most eggs made it safely to the ground intact!
A fantastic hands-on lesson exploring forces, gravity and air resistance while encouraging teamwork, creativity and critical thinking. Well done, Year 7! 👏🪂🥚

PREPARING FOR THE NSW SCHOOL MERINO WETHER CHALLENGE

There was plenty happening at the Ag Farm today as our Primary Industries students continued preparing their sheep for the Wether Challenge in August.
Students were busy weighing the sheep, fitting headstalls, leading them through the yards and ensuring they are well cared for as they work towards this exciting event.
A visit to the calf paddock provided plenty of laughs as students introduced headstalls to our young calves. While some took to the experience better than others, one energetic calf decided it had plans of its own, resulting in a memorable dash around the paddock and a few laughs from those watching on!
The students had plenty of valuable hands-on experience in animal handling, husbandry and livestock management, while also reminding us that working with animals can be wonderfully unpredictable.
Well done to all of our students for their enthusiasm, teamwork and willingness to get involved. 🐑🐄

PREPARING FOR THE ROAD AHEAD 🚗

Last week, our Year 10 students attended the RYDA Road Safety Education workshop at Mount Panorama, taking part in a valuable day of learning designed to help prepare them for life as safe and responsible road users.
Some important topics including driver distraction, speed, risk awareness, passenger safety and making positive choices behind the wheel were covered on the day.
As many of our students begin thinking about driving and gaining their licences, programs such as RYDA provide invaluable opportunities to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to stay safe on our roads.
We hope our students took away important lessons that will remain with them for many years to come.
