Public Speaking Competition Local Finals

A massive congratulations to our very talented LPS students, Caitlin, Leon, Eli and Evie, who competed in Bathurst for the Multicultural Perspectives Public Speaking Competition Local Finals today. Speakers representing multiple schools from Lithgow to Mudgee did an incredible job, making the event highly competitive. While we didn't make it to the next stage, each one of our students should be so proud of their hard work and for representing the great things coming out of LPS.

Thank you Maree and Healthy Harold!

Over the past two weeks, we have been fortunate to welcome the Life Education Van to our school, with Maree and Healthy Harold delivering engaging and informative lessons to our students. Students explored a wide range of important topics, including building positive friendships, making healthy choices and learning how to be cyberwise when using technology in a safe, respectful and responsible way. A huge thank you to Maree and Life Education for bringing this wonderful resource to our school and for making learning so much fun. Healthy Harold is always a favourite visitor and we are grateful for the positive impact these sessions have on our students

Western Soccer Trials

A huge congratulations to our 9 talented students who travelled to Dubbo yesterday to trial for the Western Soccer team! We are incredibly proud of the commitment, dedication and perseverance they have shown in working towards this opportunity. Most importantly, they represented our school beautifully, demonstrating outstanding sportsmanship, respect and teamwork throughout the day. A huge thank you also to the families of those students for allowing for this opportunity to happen and transporting them.

A special mention to Eli, who made it to Possible & Probables but was unsuccessful in final selection.

Wonderful Learners in Wallace

The class Wallace has been in full swing with their learning this term! Everyone is enjoying learning about wide range of topics, from learning their letter sounds and handwriting formations in English, to the properties of 2D shapes in Mathematics. The students are also fostering a love of reading as they explore new and classic books.

Keep up the great work Wallace!
