North Coast Academy of Sport

🏃 NOMINATIONS NOW OPEN 🏃

Applications are now open for the 2026 NCAS Athletics Program, supporting talented track and field athletes aged 13–19 across the North Coast.

The program has been redesigned into three intensive two-day workshops in Coffs Harbour, Tamworth and Ballina, providing athletes with concentrated access to specialist coaching and high-performance development while complementing their existing club training.

Program Highlights:
🏃 Technical development across track & field events
💪 Strength & conditioning and physical preparation
🥗 Nutrition and sports psychology education
🤝 Collaboration with Northern Inland Academy of Sport (NIAS) athletes and coaches

The three camps will take place from September-November preparing athletes for key athletics events in late 2026 and early 2027.

📣 COACH & MANAGER EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST 📣

We’re calling out to anyone interested in getting involved in our upcoming sports programs!

We have programs starting over the next few months, with applications and trials coming up, and we’d love to have more faces involved in our programs to help develop and support our athletes.

We’re looking for coaches and managers across all sports.

Congratulations to all the athletes, coaches, officials and volunteers recognised at this year’s North Coast Academy of Sport Awards.

A special congratulations to Ayla Kowalczyk, who was named the 2026 NCAS Athlete of the Year and Athlete of the Year with a Disability; Bevin Newton, who was named Coach of the Year; and Chris Graham, who was honoured for 10 years of exceptional service to the Academy.

We are incredibly proud of everyone recognised for their achievements, dedication and contribution to the NCAS community. 👏

🌟COMMONWEALTH GAMES DEBUT 🌟

Congratulations Lexie on an amazing Commonwealth Games debut!

Competing in the Women's 100m T47, Lexie crossed the line in 13.15 (+1.7) to finish 7th.

To represent Australia on the Commonwealth Games stage at just 15 years old is an outstanding achievement, and this is only the beginning of what promises to be a bright future.
