Lisarow High School draws its students from the suburbs north of Gosford and from the semi-rural areas around Lisarow and Ourimbah. The school values collaborative leadership and seeks to meet the learning and welfare needs of our students through excellent academic programs, balanced with extensive programs providing cultural, sporting and community participation opportunities through to the high

est levels. We see the school as a place: where everyone is learning and enjoys success; that is adaptive and creative; that is happy, safe and clean with an attractive stimulating learning environment; that uses appropriate technology. Duke of Edinburgh Adventures Journey – Newcastle & Stockton☀️

Our Duke of Edinburgh students recently continued their Duke of Edinburgh Adventures Journey by taking on an exciting Urban Challenge through Newcastle, putting their navigation, teamwork and problem-solving skills to the test.

Working together in small groups, students navigated their way through Newcastle before making their way to Stockton, where they set up camp for the night.

Along the way, students developed valuable skills in map reading and navigation, route planning, communication, teamwork, leadership, decision-making and resilience. They were challenged to work independently, manage their time, carry their equipment and adapt to unexpected situations, all while supporting their teammates.

The experience was a fantastic opportunity for students to step outside their comfort zones, build confidence and develop independence. From navigating unfamiliar streets to setting up camp and working together to overcome challenges, the Urban Challenge was another memorable step in their Duke of Edinburgh Adventures Journey.

A huge shoutout and best of luck to our amazing student squad members competing in the National Aerobics Championships starting tomorrow on the Sunshine Coast. They’ll be giving it their all over three days – Go Lisarow Legends! 🏆✨
