Ballet is one of the most effective ways to develop brain- body coordination. Remembering choreography, responding to music, and coordinating movement all work together to strengthen the brain.
And yes… sometimes things get a little mixed up along the way, even for our more experienced dancers 😊 and there are always plenty of laughs.
With practice and determination, it does come together. As seen here, the same group performed this exercise beautifully the following week.
🌿 In our beginners classes, everything is taught step by step in a supportive environment- no experience needed.

A staple in every ballet class.
Battement tendu is one of the most important foundations in ballet- regardless of level.
This group is still developing their technique and working through longer sequences, and that’s exactly where the learning happens.
No rush. No pressure to “get it right” immediately. Just building, one layer at a time.

Battement Tendu is never just a “simple” exercise.
It’s a fundamental movement that many ballet steps are built from.
The quiet corrections along the way help build technique, enabling the body to move more freely and with greater ease.
It’s often the smallest details that make the biggest difference.

A special afternoon with some of our dancers at a private screening of the Royal Ballet’s Giselle 🩰.
More than 40 of us came together to share this beautiful ballet- with a few misty eyes at the end. Moments like these are just as meaningful as the time we spend in the studio.
There’s something very special about experiencing ballet together, both on and off the barre.

Jean started ballet at 83.
Today, she’s 89.
“Don’t be put off by others. It’s what you can do… and what you get out of it that matters.”
There’s something special about moving together like this.

Welcoming, independently run seniors ballet classes for all levels
45 students came to this in January… so we brought it back.
On Easter Monday, our students joined a physiotherapist-led class focused on strengthening hips, knees, ankles and feet- areas so important for balance, stability and confidence in ballet, as well as everyday life.
So valuable for our students 💛
With thanks to Richard from in St Leonard’s, Sydney for guiding this session.
