Little hands. Big learning.
There is something powerful about learning with your hands.
When children build, connect, pull apart, problem-solve and try again, they are doing so much more than simply playing. They are developing coordination, persistence, spatial awareness, creativity and an understanding of how things work.
At Explore & Develop Lilyfield, we believe children learn deeply when they are active participants in their learning — when they have opportunities to touch, manipulate, experiment and discover for themselves.
Hands-on learning gives children permission to wonder:
What will happen if I try this?
How does this fit together?
Can I find another way?
With time, interesting materials and educators alongside them to encourage their thinking, children begin to see themselves as capable learners, thinkers, makers and problem-solvers.
Because sometimes the richest learning doesn't begin with an answer. It begins with two little hands and an idea.
