As the MLMC Alumni Association hope to expand and be able to provide more connections with past students, we ask that if you are an Alumni of the College that you take a minute to complete the form to update your contact details via this link - https://www.mlmc.vic.edu.au/community/alumni-registry
By doing this you will receive a copy of our biannual Connections magazine and the occasional emails throughout the year, letting you know what events and activities we are hosting such as the annual gala dinner and College reunions.
We are so proud of our long standing history and believe that is something to be celebrated and want to share this with as many people as possible. As our buildings change and our College continues to grow, we don't forget our roots and where we began and hope that the students that have attended share this same passion.
We look forward to re-connecting!

Our MLMC Alumni community are coming together to show our support for two former students, Hayley Williams and Andrew Paternoster (both class of 2001), as they face every parent's worst nightmare - their beautiful young daughter Amy is currently battling a rare, inoperable and incurable cancer.
No family should have to walk through something like this alone and the road ahead is incredibly difficult.
A mycause page has been created to help ease some of the financial pressure so they can focus on what matters most, being there for Amy.
If you are able to donate, no matter how small, it would mean so much to their family. And if you can't donate, sharing this post is another powerful way to support them.
Please keep the family in your thoughts during this challenging time. Let's come together as a community and show them they are not facing this alone ❤️

The family of Maria Teresa Sandfort (fondly known as Rita) generously bequeathed her beautiful Beale baby grand piano to the College last year. Recently, they visited the College and joined us for a piano recital, a fitting tribute to Rita’s love of music and generosity. The Centennial Hall foyer was filled with music as our student pianists showcased the piano and delighted their audience.
Rita served the College as a library technician for 18 years in the 80s and 90s. She was a passionate pianist who believed deeply in the power of education and the arts. Through this gift, the family have ensured that her love for music will inspire our students for generations to come.
We are incredibly grateful to the Sandfort family for this meaningful contribution to our music program.

As the College this year celebrates 130 years, it is time to take a look at where it all began — the laying of the foundation stone.
On Sunday 15 November 1896, His Grace, the Archbishop of Melbourne, the Most Rev Dr Thomas Carr, officially laid and blessed the Convent of Mercy’s foundation stone outside what is now known as the Mount Saint Joseph building.
130 years later and look how much our oldest building has changed!

🕊️ At the heart of Easter is a message of hope.
Today, we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus — the very heart of our faith. It is the moment that gives meaning to everything we believe, reminding us that life, hope and love have the final word.
Easter Sunday speaks into our lives in a powerful way. No matter the challenges we face, hope is never lost. Light overcomes darkness, love overcomes fear and new life is always possible.
May we carry this message of hope into our everyday lives — through our kindness, our compassion and the way we care for one another each day.
Wishing our community a blessed and joyful Easter.

Good Friday is a day of quiet reflection.
Today we reflect on a story that sits at the heart of our faith — one of sacrifice, love and deep human suffering. A reminder that Jesus did not turn away from pain, but entered into it, choosing to give of Himself so that we might know forgiveness, hope and new life.
It tells us that even in moments of struggle, failure or injustice, healing is possible — and that we are not alone in those experiences.
For us, this is an invitation. To reflect on how we respond to others. To choose compassion over judgement, forgiveness over resentment and love in the face of difficulty.
Wishing our community a quiet and reflective Good Friday.
