VUKC member training overseas! βοΈπ°π·βοΈ
Jung recently dropped into Hyeophwa Kumdo Dojang in Daegu, South Korea, and had an awesome time on the floor. The dojang has over 30 years of history and is led by Choi Ju Young Sensei, a former Yongin City Hall Team athlete and Yongin University player, alongside Noh Young Mi Sensei.
Jung said everyone was so welcoming and supportive. Around 30 dedicated members train there together, and you could really feel the spirit of kendo in the room. π₯
Big thanks to Hyeophwa Kumdo Dojang for the warm hospitality and for sharing such a memorable experience with our VUKC community πβΊοΈ

π 48th Australian Kendo Championships β Gold Coast π
Last weekend, three of our members, Therese, Andy, and Michael, represented our club at the 48th Australian Kendo Championships on the Gold Coast.
A huge congratulations to Andy for bringing home bronze in the Menβs Kyu Individual category and gold with the Menβs Kyu Team. What an outstanding achievement.ππ
Competing at the national level is never easy, and your hard work and commitment to training truly showed on the shiai-jo. We are incredibly proud of you all.π
The matches throughout the weekend were intense and kept spectators on the edge of their seats. It was another strong campaign from the Victorian Squad, and experiences like this continue to bring us closer together and make us stronger as a team.
We are grateful to Queensland Kendo Renmei for hosting such a well-organised championship.
See you all again next time! βοΈ
