School‑based education support plays an important role in helping students engage with learning. People working in these roles support classroom activities, student wellbeing, and day‑to‑day routines within school environments.

Training in education support helps learners understand how schools operate and how to work effectively alongside teachers and students. Explore courses: https://www.cire.org.au/course-category/education-support/

Effective training relies on people who understand the realities of the work. Trainers with industry experience bring practical insight into the classroom, helping learners connect theory with everyday tasks and expectations.

That connection supports clearer learning and stronger preparation for their next role.

Pathways into work are rarely linear. Pre‑accredited learning supports people to build skills, confidence and direction before moving into further training or employment‑focused study.

This structure allows learners to progress at a pace that suits their circumstances while keeping future options open. Explore opportunities: https://www.cire.org.au/training/upskill/

When someone in your family is considering study, the decision often involves practical questions about pathways, readiness, and future options. Having access to clear information can help conversations feel calmer and more constructive.

During the 1980s, training across the Yarra Ranges began to grow from very limited options into an emerging sector. Women and men were learning skills such as horticulture, mechanics and using computers for business, responding to changing work and community needs.

After delivering courses in partnership with TAFE, Cire Training was recognised as a Registered Training Organisation in 1992. Today, that history reflects more than 30 years of responsive, community‑based training shaped by the people it serves.

Learning feels different when people are supported to ask questions, take their time, and learn alongside others. Supportive environments recognise that everyone brings different experiences and responsibilities into the classroom.

This approach helps learners stay engaged and develop confidence as they progress through their course.

Some people want to rebuild confidence before committing to a qualification. Pre‑accredited courses create space to practise learning again, understand expectations, and explore interests without pressure.

These pathways often support people to move forward with clearer direction, whether that leads to further training, volunteering, or work.
