πŸ† PAUL KELLY CUP REGIONAL TITLES πŸ†

What an incredible day for LPPS at the Paul Kelly Cup Regional Titles at Barden Ridge yesterday!
Our girls were unstoppable, going through the entire day undefeated and finishing at the top of their pool. They faced Randwick in the grand final and produced another brilliant performance, winning 22–7! The girls are officially Regional Champions and will now represent LPPS at the State Titles! πŸ₯‡
Our boys competed in an extremely tough competition and finished as the highest-ranked second-place team across all pools, earning themselves a spot in the semi-final. They showed tremendous determination to defeat a first-placed team and advance to the grand final. Although they went down 18–7 in a hard-fought match, they finished as Regional Runners-Up and also secured their place at the State Titles! πŸ₯ˆ
We could not be prouder of both teams. The talent, teamwork, resilience and fight these students displayed throughout the day were outstanding. They represented LPPS with pride, encouraged one another and never stopped giving their very best.

Below is some words from the boys team captain Lyle and the girls team captain Mia:Β

Lyle: We were placed in the hardest pool, but the boys tried their absolute hardest throughout the whole day. We found ourselves behind in almost every game, but we continued to fight back, believe in ourselves and work together to earn the win. Although we lost the grand final, we were fortunate enough to still qualify for the State Finals as regional runners-up. Thank you to Mr Paget for coaching and supporting us!

Mia: We went undefeated throughout the entire day and won the grand final 22–7! One of my favourite moments was whenever one of the girls scored, because we would all run together, form a huge huddle and celebrate.
A big shout-out to Scott Arnold, Mr Paget and Miss Mollross for running our morning training sessions and giving us so many awesome tips. I would also like to congratulate all the girls for being so supportive of one another and playing amazingly. We are very excited to compete at the State Finals

Our Year 1 students have been busy exploring arrays, using hands-on learning to build their understanding of multiplication and mathematical thinking. πŸ”’βœοΈ

They’ve also been publishing their written work on iPads, turning their learning into something they can proudly share. βœοΈπŸ’»πŸŒŸ

🌏✨ STAGE 3 CULTURAL EXPLORATION ✨🌏
What an incredible celebration of culture, learning and diversity in Stage 3! πŸ‘
Over the past few weeks, our students have been working hard on their Cultural Exploration Projects, taking a deep dive into a country of their choice. Students explored everything from geography, history and landmarks to traditions, celebrations, food, daily life and interesting cultural practices.
On Monday, our classrooms were transformed into a trip around the world! 🌎✈️ Every student proudly created a display to showcase their learning, with an amazing variety of posters, artefacts, traditional items, toys, clothing, flags, spices and interactive elements.
And of course… there was plenty of food! πŸ€©πŸ•πŸ‘πŸ§€πŸ₯‘
We were treated to guacamole and chips, breads and cheeses, aromatic spices, mochi, seaweed, pizza, biscuits and so many other foods representing cultures from across the globe.
The displays were simply too good to pack away after just one day, so we decided they deserved an even bigger audience! On Tuesday morning, we invited our Stage 3 parents and carers into the classrooms to wander through the displays, see the incredible work for themselves and celebrate everything our students had achieved. πŸ’™
What impressed us most was the depth of research, creativity and effort that went into every single project. Students weren’t just sharing facts β€” they were able to speak confidently about their chosen country and explain what makes its culture unique.
A huge congratulations to every Stage 3 student. The pride you showed in your work was wonderful to see, and our classrooms were absolutely buzzing as students and families explored the displays, sampled new foods and learned about countries from all around the world. 🌍✨
We are incredibly proud of the effort you put into bringing your Cultural Exploration Projects to life! πŸ‘πŸ’™

✨ EVOLVE AT SYDNEY DANCE EISTEDDFOD ✨

What a night for our 12 incredible Stage 3 Evolve dancers, taking to the stage at the iconic Sydney Opera House for the prestigious Sydney Dance Eisteddfod! πŸ©°πŸ’«

The girls performed two routines – Jazz and Lyrical – and absolutely did LPPS proud, walking away with some amazing results:

🌟 Jazz – Highly Commended out of 26 schools
πŸ₯‰ Lyrical – 3rd Place out of 17 schools!

A HUGE achievement against some incredibly talented school groups from across Sydney. The girls performed with confidence, commitment and beautiful teamwork, and we could not be prouder of the way they represented our school both on and off the stage.

A huge thank you also goes to Miss Mollross and Miss Dawson, who gave up their weekend to accompany, support and cheer on our girls throughout such a special experience. πŸ’œ

So much hard work goes into these performances, and seeing it all come together on the Opera House stage was pretty special.

Congratulations, Evolve! What an achievement! πŸ‘βœ¨

πŸ₯πŸ‰πŸˆ TERM 3 PSSA IS IN FULL SWING! πŸˆπŸ‰πŸ₯
Our students have been loving their Term 3 PSSA sport, with Ultimate Frisbee, Touch Football and AFL all on offer!
Friday afternoons are a fantastic opportunity for our students to get outdoors, enjoy the beautiful weather, travel to different venues and play alongside and against students from other local schools. β˜€οΈπŸ™Œ
With a focus on participation, teamwork, skill development and having fun in a non-competitive environment, term 3 PSSA is a wonderful way for our students to stay active, build confidence and enjoy sport with their friends.
We love seeing our LPPS students out there giving everything a go and representing our school with pride! πŸ’šπŸ’›

πŸ“š Stage 3 History in the Hall! πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί
Stage 3 packed into the hall today for a combined History lesson as we stepped back in time to explore the development of the Australian colonies!
Our students embraced a little taste of β€œhigh school-style” learning β€” listening carefully, taking structured notes while watching historical videos, responding to questions and considering how key events and decisions during the colonial period helped shape the Australia we know today. πŸ“πŸŽ₯
It was fantastic to see our Stage 3 students focused, engaged and thinking critically alongside their peers. A great morning of learning together! πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ΊπŸ‘

🐝✨ SPELLING BEE SUPERSTARS! ✨🐝
A huge congratulations to our School Spelling Bee Champions, Harry and Rhyder, who represented Lilli Pilli in one of the Regional Finals today! 🌟
Logging in via Zoom (and armed with a few sugary treats for extra brain power πŸπŸ˜‚), the boys competed against 31 talented spellers from schools across the state!
πŸ‘ Harry powered his way through to Round 2, while Rhyder made it all the way to Round 4, finishing as one of the TOP 10 spellers! πŸ€©πŸ†

A special thank you to Ms Sharp for letting us take over her office for the competition… and for allowing us to sneak a lolly or two along the way! 🍬🐝
Well done, Harry and Rhyder! πŸŒŸπŸ‘
