A legend who changed the lives of so many children.

Thank you, Dolly.

For decades, Dolly Parton has helped put books into the hands of millions of young children through her Imagination Library, beginning at birth.

And those books represent so much more than learning to read.

In the earliest years, sharing a book is a chance for babies and toddlers to hear new words, explore the world, connect with the people who love them and build the relationships that help their brains grow. Long before a child can read the words on a page, they’re learning through every story, snuggle, point and conversation.

Inspired by her own father, who never had the opportunity to learn to read, Dolly turned a deeply personal experience into a commitment to making books more accessible to families, regardless of where they live or what they earn.

Her work is a powerful reminder that every child deserves opportunities to learn, connect and thrive from the very beginning.

Thank you, Dolly, for believing in babies.

THIS TINY INSIDE OUT DETAIL CHANGED COMPLETELY DEPENDING ON WHERE YOU WATCHED IT. 😲👏

Ever watched Inside Out and wondered why Riley looked so disgusted by broccoli? Well, Japanese audiences got a slightly different version of that scene—and Pixar actually went the extra mile to make it happen. 👏

In the original film, broccoli was used as the ultimate “yuck!” vegetable because it’s commonly associated with foods children refuse to eat in Western cultures.

But when Pixar asked its Japanese localization team what vegetable would trigger the same reaction from local kids, the answer was different: green bell peppers, or piman. 🫑

So Pixar didn’t simply change the dialogue.

The filmmakers actually digitally reanimated several scenes so the vegetable on screen matched the Japanese version of the joke. 😲

And that’s what makes this detail so fascinating. Pixar understood that a joke only works if the audience can relate to it. ❤️

The studio reportedly made 28 graphic changes across 45 shots for different international markets—including changing hockey to soccer in some versions. 😱😎

It’s a small change, but it reveals something much bigger: great storytelling doesn’t assume everyone sees the world the same way.

Sometimes, connecting with people means understanding their culture first. 🧡
