❤️ Have a Heart Week ❤️
This week, our St Joachim’s community came together for Have a Heart Week as we prepared to celebrate the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
Inspired by the loving and compassionate heart of Christ, students put their faith into action through acts of service, generosity, and prayer. We supported the St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal through our m***i day, donated food items for families in need, and reflected on how we can show love, kindness, mercy, and compassion in our daily lives. As part of our celebrations, students contributed messages to our Sacred Heart Wall, sharing practical ways they can have a heart like Jesus.
“Learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart.” (Matthew 11:29)
Thank you to our students, families, and staff for helping make this week a beautiful witness to the love of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. ❤️🙏🏻 Sydney Catholic Schools

Year 1 have been having a solid time learning about 3D objects in Mathematics!
Using nets, we folded, built and explored a variety of 3D objects, identifying the 2D faces that make up each object. Our mathematicians were on the right shape of success as they brought their learning to life through hands-on investigation! 🧐🌟

On Thursday, our St Joachim’s Catholic Parish and School community gathered to celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi). We were blessed to celebrate Mass with Fr Epeli, Fr Bijoy and Fr Iurii, accompanied by the beautiful singing and chanting of our Jubilate Deo Choir.
The Solemnity of Corpus Christi is a special feast in the Catholic Church that honours the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist. It is an opportunity for us to publicly proclaim our faith in Christ, who remains with His Church through the gift of His Body and Blood.
Following Mass, we participated in a Eucharistic Procession from St Joachim’s Catholic Church to our school grounds. As the Blessed Sacrament was carried among us, students and staff reverently knelt and bowed in adoration, recognising Jesus truly present in the Eucharist.
It was a prayerful and moving celebration that reminded us of Christ’s abiding presence and His invitation to become what we receive-His Body, living lives of faith, love and service.
