💙 A Father’s Love is Beautiful 💙

What a beautiful morning celebrating the fathers, grandfathers and special father figures who fill our lives with love, strength and guidance. ✨

We began with a special Father’s Day Mass, giving thanks to God for the gift of fathers and praying for His continued blessing upon them. St Joachim's Catholic Parish Lidcombe 🙏💙

Our celebration continued with a lovely Father’s Day Morning Tea, bringing our families together to share in the joy of this special occasion. A special thank you to Matthew & Lauren for adding an extra special touch to our morning celebration!

💧 Exploring Capacity in Year 2!

Year 2 had a blast exploring capacity through hands-on activities! Students carefully calibrated containers and selected suitable units of measurement based on size and volume. Through comparing, testing and refining their results, they demonstrated great teamwork, thoughtful problem-solving and growing confidence in their understanding of capacity. 📏💦 Sydney Catholic Schools

Our Year 6 students joined students from St John’s Auburn, St Peter Chanel Regents Park and Immaculate Heart of Mary Sefton for a special Eastern Church Pilgrimage through our local Catholic community.

Students visited St Andrew’s Ukrainian Catholic Church and Our Lady of the Assumption Armenian Catholic Church, discovering the beauty and richness of Eastern Catholic traditions through prayer, iconography and worship. 🙏✨

Year 1 took their Geography learning outdoors today! 🌳🔎 As part of their learning about the features of places, students explored our school grounds to identify and investigate natural and constructed features in their environment.

💛✨ Friendships Are Beautiful! ✨💛

What a beautiful way to end our Friendships Are Beautiful Week with a fun-filled day of games, activities, faith and friendship! 🥰🎉

Throughout the day, students explored some of the beautiful friendships of our saints, including St Francis of Assisi and St Clare of Assisi, and reflected on how St Carlo Acutis inspires us to be kind, caring and faithful friends. 🙏✨

Students also created heartfelt prayers of gratitude, sharing why their friendships are beautiful and thanking God for the special friends He has placed in their lives. 💕🙏

May we continue to follow the example of the saints by being friends who show kindness, compassion, joy and love to one another.

🐨🌿 Year 4 at Sydney Zoo! 🦘

Year 4 had a fantastic day exploring Sydney Zoo, bringing their learning about Food and Fibre to life! Students also deepened their understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives, making meaningful connections between culture, Country and the natural world. 🌿

A highlight of the day was getting up close with some amazing animals, and even having the chance to meet and pat a few! 🐾🦎
