📚🏃‍♂️ K-2 Sports Day is almost here! 🏃‍♀️📚

Parents and carers, we are excited to invite you to join us for our K-2 Sports Day tomorrow - Monday, 31 August 2026, from 11:30am to 1:00pm in Area 1.

Our students will be running, jumping, throwing and, most importantly, having fun while demonstrating the values of teamwork, respect, fair play and encouragement.

We would love to see our families and community members come along to cheer on our students and celebrate their achievements.

📍 Location: Area 1
🕦 Time: 11:30am - 1:00pm
🚪 Entry: Please enter via the Copeland Road Gate and sign in using the QR code on arrival.

Students are encouraged to:
👕 Wear their house colours
👟 Wear appropriate footwear for running
👏 Try their best and have fun!

We can't wait to see you there as we come together to support our amazing K-2 students.

This week In Gunggung, we’ve been learning about counting, recounting, making 10 and trading.

This week students from Bunda participated in a Dharug lesson with Miss Carroll, exploring various Australian animals and learning their names in Dharug language. They also had the opportunity to discover where these animals live and what they eat.

🏆 SUMMER SPORT COMMENCES TODAY! 🏆

We’re excited to kick off our Summer PSSA competitions today! ☀️🏏🏉

⏰ Game Times:

Junior games: Commence at 12:00pm
Senior games: Commence at 12:30pm

🏏 Summer Cricket - due to circumstances out of our control, our cricketers stay at school for sports today.

🏉 Summer League Tag – Boys & Girls will be played at Heber Park, Hebersham.

🏐 Summer Newcombe Ball has a bye today, so students who participate in Newcombe Ball will remain at school and participate in sports activities.

📱 All students participating in Summer PSSA have had a message sent to their families via the Sentral Parent Portal confirming their child’s participation.

⭐ Summer PCYC also commences today, with students participating under the supervision of Ms Pilarowski and Mr Deo.

In maths, sometimes we need to go back and practise what we already know. In 2 Guduglung, we have been making sure students have a strong understanding of the parts that make up a number. By revisiting and practising these skills regularly, students are building confidence and strengthening their number knowledge, which gives them a solid foundation for more complex mathematical thinking.

Your time, energy, organisation and enthusiasm helped bring the parade to life. We truly appreciate all the behind-the-scenes work that went into making the morning so special for our students and families.
