Thanks to all those who were able to join us today. We had all types of weather but enjoyed it all in the Growing Wild way.
I feel very lucky to have all this love, it was so good to see you all.💚🌿🌻

Clare has graciously organised this event for me. It would be lovely to see you there!

The last few weeks have been a lot of friendship building, some different kinds of painting and lots of the usual cubby making, chicken feeding, trolley, mud/water play and running around.
I am off to the UK today. 🛫🌍🗺

Lots of climbing lately- I teach the children how to climb but do not help them. They need to have the physical strength to get up by themselves for it to be safe. This involves core as well as arm and leg strength.
This kind of risky play is important for learning what they are capable of and growing self esteem and resilience.
We have started preparation for Mother's day so I can't show any of that yet🙂

The last few weeks we have picked blackberries, fed alpacas, made puddles to jump in, marble runs out of lots of different things, cubbies galore - inside and outside, done painting of different types. Explored numbers and looked at the first letter of our names. Dressing up, especially pirates and bears.

We had to close yesterday due to extreme fire danger🔥 but today was cool ☁️again. One child said it didn't feel like a blackberry picking day.🙂
We have had fun with all the little things. Feeding the chickens, watering the garden ( turning the pump on for dam water), water play, trampoline, trolley play, and digging.

Highlights from the last couple of weeks. With new little people at Growing Wild we usually stay close to the house while they get used to the space. We have had picnics and enjoyed the new water access. We have explored a little, collected eggs and cleaned out the fish tank.
We had so.e windy days that were great for kites and some that were safest inside.
