🔬✨ Science Week at Kidscape Leopold! ✨🔬
What an exciting Science Week we are having! 🌱🌈 Our little scientists have been busy exploring, experimenting and discovering how plants absorb water.
Using white flowers, coloured water and celery, the children were able to observe how water travels through a plant’s stem and makes its way up into the flower. 🌸💧
The children were fascinated watching the colours slowly appear and enjoyed making predictions about what they thought would happen. Through hands-on experiences like this, we’re encouraging curiosity, questioning, problem-solving and a love of learning. 🧪👩‍🔬👨‍🔬

There’s something magical about stepping outside the four walls of our centre and exploring the world around us! 🌏💚
When children get out into the community, they discover new places, meet new people, experience different environments and, most importantly, have the freedom to let their imaginations run wild! 🧚‍♀️🦖🚀
A simple walk can become a dinosaur adventure, a visit to the park can turn into an imaginary jungle, and a trip through the community can spark endless questions, conversations and discoveries. 🐾🌳🔍
These experiences help children build confidence, develop a sense of belonging, connect with their community and learn that adventure and learning can happen anywhere! 💫
At Kidscape, we love giving children the opportunity to explore, wonder, imagine and discover the world around them. Because sometimes the best learning happens when little feet are out exploring and little minds are free to dream! 💕🌈

Today our Echidna and Emu rooms had Tracey from the roaming reptiles come and visit.
Our children loved learning about lizards, turtles, snakes and crocodiles. The children and educators were very brave getting up close with the reptiles. Such a fun day.

Kidscape Wonders – Where Curiosity and Creativity Come to Life.✨

Today, our wonderful Miss Chez, also known as ‘Master Chez hosted her weekly cooking class with our Echidna children! 👩‍🍳🥐

Today's menu was homemade sausage rolls and our young chefs had a fantastic time measuring ingredients, mixing, rolling pastry, and creating their own delicious treats. Cooking experiences like these help children develop confidence, fine motor skills, early maths concepts, teamwork, and independence, all while having so much fun.

We are so lucky to offer these engaging extra-curricular programs at Kidscape Early Learning Centre Leopold providing children with meaningful opportunities to explore their interests, build new skills, and let their curiosity and creativity shine.

At Kidscape Early Learning Centre Leopold, we love seeing curiosity and creativity come to life every day.
That's why our team came together to design Kidscape Wonders – a series of engaging extracurricular programs offered weekly to all children from Nursery through to Kinder.
Carefully planned to inspire, engage and support every child's development, these hands-on experiences encourage children to explore their interests, build confidence and discover new skills in a fun and meaningful way.

When our Kinder children ask, we deliver! 💛
Our children are absolutely loving our new 3D printer, and we can't wait to watch their incredible ideas come to life! 🖨️✨
3D printing is a wonderful way to inspire curiosity, creativity, and imagination. As children design, create, and explore, they're also developing important early STEM skills, problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, spatial awareness, and perseverance, all through hands-on, play-based learning.
We're so excited to see what our little creators and innovators dream up next! 🌟💛

Get yourself a management team that is hands-on and genuinely knows the children in their care. A strong team recognises when a child is feeling overwhelmed and needs a calm, supportive moment to regulate before they can successfully re-engage with the curriculum. That understanding and responsiveness can make all the difference to a child's wellbeing and learning experience.

Today, Miss Tiff stepped away from her management responsibilities to do just that. Together, they engaged in making friendship bracelets, providing a calm and supportive experience that encouraged connection, creativity, and emotional regulation. This shared experience further strengthened the child’s sense of belonging and demonstrated the importance of educators being present and available to respond to children’s individual needs throughout the day.

On the 20th of May we celebrated som of our local hero’s

Celebrating SES volunteers helps children develop an understanding of community, kindness, and helping others in times of need. Learning about the important role SES volunteers play during emergencies encourages children to appreciate the people who work hard to keep communities safe. Through discussions and activities, children can also begin to understand teamwork, bravery, and the importance of supporting and caring for one another.

On 20th of May we learnt about Bee’s.🐝🐝

World Bee Day provides a wonderful opportunity for children to learn about the important role bees play in our environment. Through hands-on experiences and conversations, children begin to understand how bees help plants grow, support food production, and contribute to a healthy ecosystem. Learning about bees also encourages children to care for nature, develop environmental awareness, and appreciate the small creatures that make a big difference in our world.
