The 19th Taekwondo Culture Expo in Muju, Korea, emphasizes determination, strength, and sportsmanship. Mia and Wil have concluded a highly successful trip in Korea, and we take great pride in their outstanding performances across all sections. Notably, they excellently represented their club, Joon No's Taekwondo, and Australia, among over 33 countries and 4000 competitors. The results are as follows: Wil secured silver in Kyorugi/sparring and silver in Poomsae/patterns, while Mia won bronze in Poomsae/patterns and gold in Kyorugi/sparring.

Malaysia CK National & Astational 18th CK Classic Taekwondo Championship. Day 1 of the competition saw 2 of our Gippsland students competing alongside 2 other Joon No students, with over 2000 competitors from around the world participating each day. Our students represented not only our club but also Australia, demonstrating exceptional sportsmanship and etiquette, leaving us extremely proud. In the morning session, our students competed in Poomsae/pattern work, with Mia competing against 8 girls in her division and Wil competing against 3 boys in his division. They then partnered up for team Poomsae, performing admirably. Mia also joined our two other girls for trio Poomsae. The afternoon session consisted of sparring, with Mia facing 7 competitors in her division. Despite some intense moments, she won her first two rounds convincingly, won the third round, but lost in the 4th and 5th rounds. Wil had a remarkable day on the mats, winning his first four rounds but unfortunately had to stop due to an injured foot in the final round, narrowly missing out. He received numerous compliments from various countries, making us incredibly proud. Wil and Mia have completed the competition part of Malaysia Day One. On Day Two, they supported the girls in their sparring events. Notably, Mia was honored to read the player's oath at the opening ceremony. The results are as follows: Mia - Bronze in sparring, Bronze in trio Poomsae, Bronze in individual Poomsae, Silver in partner Poomsae with Wil. Wil - Silver in sparring, Silver in individual Poomsae, Silver in partner Poomsae with Mia.
Our next stop is Korea for the next competition.
