Your Action Word for 2022?

What do you hope 2022 holds for you?

Do you secretly dream about the life you deserve and desire; or have you sadly given up on the dream?

This time last year, I was deliberating on my action word for this year. A word that would guide and motivate me.

I decided it would be ‘Unleash’

I loved it because it spoke to my potential. Although I wanted to take my coaching career to a new level, I held fears and reservations. I was still struggling with creating a new identity, changing from the teacher/school principal roles I knew and loved, to the much more unfamiliar identity of being a coach.

If I was to have a successful year as a coach, effectively serving lots of people, it was time to ‘unleash’ my new knowledge and skills and to bravely step into my coaching identity.

During the year that word motivated me.
In times of doubt I’d ask myself ‘What would unleash do?’ As a result, I grabbed hold of opportunities as they presented themselves. I’m much clearer now on who I am and where I’m heading with my coaching career, and it feels great.

Now it’s time to think of my word for 2022.

What word will motivate and support me this year as I look forward to my continued coaching journey? What word will help me grow?

As a trauma-informed transformation and empowerment coach, I have a deep desire to help people heal from the past so they can live the life they desire now - the life of their dreams.

For this to happen, I need to stop hiding - I need to be seen. So my word for 2022 is ‘Shine’. I want to shine my light to help people see the solutions to whatever is holding them back or blocking them from achieving their goals and dreams

I’m excited for 2022. Although we live in a time of great flux and uncertainty, I’m excited because I have immense faith in the human spirit to overcome and to grow through adversity.

Our time on the planet is short. My wish for you is that you, too, will shine in 2022.
