About Us

Leinster Community Day Care Centre is a not-for-profit, 42-place early learning centre located in the remote mining town of Leinster. We are a closed town owned by BHP — residency is available to employees and their families.

Our centre is proud to be at the heart of a small, supportive community. The town includes a Kindy–Year 12 school, Medical Centre, IGA, café, Tavern, Gift Shop, Gym and Swimming Pool.

We are seeking a passionate, experienced and community-minded Director to lead our dedicated team and continue delivering high-quality education and care.

The Role

As Director, you will:
* Lead and manage the daily operations of the centre
* Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework and relevant regulations
* Inspire and mentor a team of educators
* Build strong relationships with families and the local community
* Oversee programming to ensure high-quality, engaging educational outcomes
* Maintain a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment for children

Skills & Experience
* Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care (preferred but not essential)
* Proven leadership and management experience
* Strong knowledge of the National Quality Standards
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)

👩‍🏫 Tina – Our new Director! Tina is an ECT and Diploma Qualified, with years of experience across NZ, and WA. She’s been with us since March and now leads our team with dedication and heart.

👩‍🏫 Wilma – Diploma Qualified. Recently moved to Leinster with her family and brings a wealth of knowledge and warmth to our service.

👩‍🏫 Sung – Diploma Qualified. After a short-term placement, she’s officially joining us and relocating to town – welcome Sung!

👩‍💼 Reina – Mum of 5 and our wonderful Admin support, currently working towards her Certificate III.

• We provide subsidized housing with utilities, complimentary family flights to and from Perth, membership to a gym and wellness centre, and free access to the local pool.
• Leinster, located in the goldfields of WA, is a closed town managed by BHP where residency is exclusive to employees.

Exciting news for Leinster!

We're thrilled to announce that our committee, BHP, and Goldfields have collaborated to bring a wonderful dance instructor to Leinster for 7 weeks of beginner hip hop classes.
Every Monday from February 10th at the town hall, with class times scheduled for 4:15pm and 5:15pm, depending on student numbers and age groups.

To secure your spot, please submit your registration payment to the LSRA bank account, including your child's name and age as the reference.

Don't miss out - registrations close on February 1st.

Please note that LSRA memberships are also required for insurance purposes; if you're not already registered, we'll provide the necessary forms.

Dear Families and Colleagues,

As many of you know, today marks my last day at Leinster Community Daycare, and I find myself feeling overwhelmed as I reflect on this incredible journey. Over the past two years, while studying for my Cert III, I have been warmly welcomed into your children’s lives, creating lasting friendships and unforgettable memories.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the families who have been a part of this experience. Your support and kindness have made my time here truly special. I will cherish the laughter, tears, and moments of joy we’ve shared together in our little community.

As I move on, I will carry these memories with me and will always hold a special place in my heart for this wonderful community that has given so much to me and my family.
